The Martial Arts Era was a time when martial arts reigned supreme. It was three million years ago when humans believed that martial arts were the peak of power. That was when beings from other worlds—known as cultivators—arrived on the Azure Star. They came from different planets and possessed the power to split the heavens and seas.
The Era of Cultivators vs Martial Artists
After the cultivators arrived on Azure Star, they sought to rule the planet. They took people with spirit roots as their disciples. Those without spirit roots became martial artists. But martial artists were not weak in comparison to cultivators. The most talented martial artists combined cultivation and martial arts, creating something new the dantian.
Soon, a great war began between the cultivators and the martial artists. The battle lasted ten thousand years. In the end, they were forced to form an alliance to defeat a greater threat—the Demon Emperor.
The Era of the Demon Emperor
The minions of the Demon Emperor were so powerful that he didn't even need to appear himself. Azure Star wasn't the only planet under attack; many others were suffering at the hands of his forces. For 500 years, the people of Azure Star and nearby worlds endured this nightmare.
Eventually, a powerful mage form different planet managed to contact a cultivator. With the mage's help, the cultivator opened a teleportation gate, bringing allies from other planets to join the fight. Over the course of another 700,000 years, the united forces of three planets developed a perfect plan to defeat the Demon Emperor.
Humanity won—but at a great cost. Everyone who fought against the Demon Emperor perished. In his final moments, the Demon Emperor self-destructed, taking the last of his enemies with him.
