After confronting the rising shadows, Arin's group entered the central city of the allied empire. A bustling city of markets, tall walls, and guards observing every movement of the citizens.
The runaway prince said,
"Everything seems calm here… but politics flows in every corner. We need to know who is friend and who is foe."
Arin nodded.
"Every word and every gesture must be examined carefully. True enemies hide behind smiles and courtesy."
Lyra added softly,
"Ordinary people may be our allies, but the powerful and the city commanders… they may have hidden schemes."
The Silent Sorceress addressed the group,
"In diplomacy and politics, every hint and hesitation carries meaning. If you cannot read the signs, your enemies will move before you."
At that moment, a message arrived from the ambassador of the Crystal Dominion. He requested an immediate meeting with Arin and his group.
Arin frowned.
"This meeting could be an opportunity for alliance… or another trap."
