A sharp gasp escaped my lips. My eyes snapped open.
I was lying in a small wooden room, the scent of incense and old earth filling the air. My body… it was smaller. Weaker.
I raised my hands—hands of a youth, not the sovereign I once was.
A trembling laugh escaped me.
"So this is rebirth… fine." My eyes burned with cold fire. "Heaven, Earth, remember this: I will rise again."
At that moment, a knock echoed at the door.
"Shin ruu! Wake up! You'll be late for your coming-of-age ceremony!"
My heart froze.
Coming of age?
Don't tell me… I have truly returned to the very beginning of my path.
If that is the case… then this time, the world won't last even three days.
