Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: Sun Breathing Can Absorb Elemental Energy! Ningguang is Captivated by Technology

That evening, Su Han dined with Ningguang and the others. The meal was prepared by Chef Mao of Wanmin Restaurant himself and consisted of a grand total of twelve courses. The flavor, needless to say, was more than ten times better than any so-called master chefs from his previous life. Of course, the quality of the ingredients themselves was also a crucial factor.

After the meal, as Su Han was about to leave, Ningguang called out to him. "How often do the multiverse missions refresh?"

"Every three days. Why do you ask, Ningguang?" he asked, looking at her with confusion.

"Three days? That's excellent." Ningguang let out a sigh of relief. "While Browse the Points Shop today, I saw something that would be of tremendous help to Liyue at its current stage."

"The 'Encyclopedia of Elementary Magitech Engineering'?"

"That's the one. That book costs fifty-thousand points," she confirmed. "Among the seven nations, Liyue's technological strength is significantly behind, almost at the very bottom. If we could acquire that book, I believe we could drastically compensate for Liyue's deficiencies." Her analysis was sharp; Mondstadt had the genius alchemist Albedo, while Fontaine and Snezhnaya were both technological powerhouses. Ningguang had spent the entire afternoon meticulously studying every item in the shop and had ultimately locked onto the collection of magitech engineering books. The encyclopedia did not contain military weaponry, but it was filled with a vast array of practical civilian technologies. For example, steam-powered runic transport ships that could sail the seas without wind, and most appealingly, a mode of transport called the steam-powered runic train. If a railway could be constructed between Liyue and Mondstadt, the transportation of goods would become remarkably simpler and faster. The primary reason this book caught Ningguang's eye, however, was that it contained fundamental, entry-level knowledge, allowing even an apprentice to learn the craft from scratch.

Su Han couldn't help but give her a mental thumbs-up. As expected of Liyue's foremost leader, her vision was truly exceptional. Low-level weapons and cultivation manuals were of little use, but engineering could fundamentally change Liyue's entire infrastructure.

"So, you're already preparing to establish an alchemy laboratory?" Su Han asked.

"Yes. I drafted the proposal this afternoon and will strive to have it established within a week. The only problem is… we don't have enough points." This was the most painful part. If they couldn't gather enough points in time, they would miss the item. Keqing currently had twenty-thousand points, leaving a deficit of thirty-thousand. If missions only refreshed once a week, it would be impossible to gather enough unless a mission of a higher difficulty than two-stars appeared. But a three-day refresh cycle meant they could complete up to three more missions. By then, the facilities on her end would be ready, and they could redeem the treasure.

For the next two days, Su Han did not leave the Jade Chamber, spending his time cultivating the Sun Breathing style. Aided by his mastery of the Transparent World, his skills progressed at a tremendous pace.

At present, Su Han was engaged in a sparring match with a captain of the Millelith. His opponent was a veteran who had served in the army for ten years, his experience incredibly deep. A normal attack would never find an opening. However, as Su Han's opponent, the captain was already drenched in sweat. What kind of monster was this National Treasure? During their first sparring session, he barely knew how to hold a sword. Now, he was being suppressed so thoroughly he didn't even have a moment to catch his breath. If this continued, he feared he wouldn't even be able to last three minutes against him within the next two days.

Seeing that the captain was at the end of his rope, Su Han stepped back with a smile. "I'm going to use a fun move next. Make sure you defend properly, or you might get hurt."

"What?" The captain was taken aback for a moment, before his face filled with utter shock. The blade in Su Han's hand had ignited with roaring flames.

"Sun Breathing, Fifth Form: Sun-Halo Dragon!"

He moved like a fiery dragon, bringing with him a wave of intense heat as his blade struck, sending the captain flying backward. When the captain landed, he was already unconscious. The power of the elements was simply not something an ordinary person could withstand. Su Han himself froze for a second, stunned. He had never expected that the Sun Breathing style, after absorbing the Pyro element from the environment, would become so incredibly powerful. He had been careless and nearly killed the captain instantly.

"Su Han, have you received a Vision?" A gentle voice, tinged with surprise, came from behind him.

Su Han turned to see that Ganyu had returned. "Eh? You finished your work this early today? It's only ten in the morning," he commented. "As for a Vision, how could I have something like that? Have you forgotten that I'm a traveler from another world?" he said with a blink.

"This is the first time I have seen someone who can use elemental skills without a Vision," Ganyu replied honestly. "Ningguang asked me to come back. She said the mission is about to refresh soon."

The last mission had refreshed at around this time three days ago. Therefore, everyone in the group had tacitly put aside their tasks to wait. After all, disappearing in front of a crowd would be rather frightening. To avoid such a situation, they had discussed and decided that on the day of a mission refresh, everyone should prepare in advance.

The two of them returned to the Jade Chamber together. Inside the Multiverse Mission Group chat, things were already getting lively.

Hu Tao:Mission… mission, I want a mission!

Zhongli:Patience. There are still three minutes.

Keqing:I wonder what type of mission it will be this time?

Su Han:I hope it's not a daily life-type mission. Otherwise, none of us in this group will be able to complete it.

Ningguang:If it is that type of mission, we can simply find a professional to handle it.

Just then, the notification chime echoed in their minds. The mission had been refreshed.
