Chapter 214 - Chapter 214: The Transmigrator, Roger

Unlike what Roger Eikam had expected, he thought that after tossing Dior into the sunlight, it would at least take some time before he oxidized and turned into air.

But the reality was that the moment Dior entered the sunlight, he vaporized almost instantly—gone in the blink of an eye.

In that blink, Dior scattered into nothing, leaving no trace behind, as if he had never existed at all.

The only proof that he had ever fought Roger was the battered ground and the damaged streetlamp nearby.

That dim yellow streetlamp had been struck once by The World's fist, but afterward it never took another hit.

Because Roger had one-shot Dior.

He lightly straightened the lamp post, yawned, and prepared to go back to sleep.

Even though it was still deep night by the clock, the sky was crystal clear—and there was a sun hanging overhead, refusing to go down.

The daylight was short. The nights were long.

Roger didn't know what principle governed it, but clearly the sun was moving strangely fast. In just a few minutes, it had already climbed overhead and was dropping toward the horizon at a speed visible to the naked eye.

At this rate, in less than half an hour, Hizuru would be swallowed by darkness again.

Retracting the armor and dismissing his scythe, Roger prepared to leave.

But just as he turned to head back to his lodging, he suddenly noticed something odd on the street where Dior had appeared—

Space was still unstable.

Yes. The tear Dior had ripped open when he arrived—the rift—still hadn't vanished even though Dior was dead. It had only become hazy and translucent, hard for ordinary people to notice.

But Roger noticed it.

He moved closer and examined it carefully. Just as he suspected, inside was bottomless darkness.

And at the far end of that darkness, there seemed to be a faint light.

Roger didn't know what it was. He guessed it might be other worlds, but which worlds they were, he couldn't tell.

If an ordinary person saw something like this, they'd turn around and leave—ignore the unknown black hole.

But Roger wasn't ordinary. From the start, he had never done ordinary things.

The moment he saw the black hole, countless guesses erupted in his mind, images flashing one after another.

He wanted to know who Dior had truly been serving.

How strong was that person, really—and where was he?

If Roger went through here… would it lead straight to that person's lair?

That was what he wondered.

He hesitated for a moment.

There was no one else around.

After thinking it through, Roger decided he couldn't miss this chance—because the spatial black hole in front of him seemed to be shrinking, gradually about to disappear on its own.

So—fine.

In for a penny, in for a pound.

"Incursio!"

Calling the armor to wrap around him, Roger used his sword to slice open his fingertip, letting blood flow so he could use Titan power at any time.

Carefully, he stepped inside—and met no resistance at all.

Different from what he'd imagined, the black hole didn't make him float. It felt more like he had walked into a grand hall. Beneath his feet was a solid, hard floor—and from it branched countless unknown paths, leading in every direction.

Before him were lights beyond counting.

Roger didn't know what worlds they represented, so he walked over to look more closely.

He discovered that within this space, he could freely witness a world's entire process—from birth to destruction.

He saw a world built on ninjutsu.

A world built on marines and pirates.

And another world built on fairies.

These worlds were bizarre in countless ways, yet they shared one thing in common:

Battle.

Only battle and power could prove a person's worth.

Roger felt these worlds suited him well, but he still didn't know whether that "guy" was hiding among them.

Looking elsewhere, he saw some worlds that felt incredibly warm—no bitter hatred, no deep-rooted evil, no vengeance. Only smiling faces and sincere affection.

"To be able to live in a world like that… it really makes people jealous."

Roger murmured without realizing it.

And it was at that moment that he suddenly saw a dazzlingly bright world.

It floated right beside the black hole.

From farther away, the Attack on Titan world seemed to be beside it, and beside that were other worlds.

Roger studied them carefully and realized they were the very worlds produced by the skills Dior had learned—

The League of Legends world.

Above the League of Legends world was the JoJo world, and off to the side was the Tokyo Ghoul world.

"So it's the proximity rule. That's why they invaded the Attack on Titan world. If that's the case… then the one in the middle of them should be that guy's native world—Akame ga Kill!."

Thinking that, Roger reached out and tapped that world.

But what he never could've expected was that the instant he extended his hand, the force inside seized him and dragged him in.

The black hole's pull intensified violently. In no time, he was swallowed—and then suddenly dropped from the sky.

Midair, he immediately adjusted his posture so he wouldn't land face-first.

His feet hit the ground steadily. He lifted his head and found himself in a forest.

Above the forest was a blue sky, identical to the one in his own world.

"So this is the Akame ga Kill! world?" Roger was stunned.

In his entire life, he'd never imagined that one day he would actually arrive in another world.

But as he stood in this unfamiliar place, another huge problem surfaced—

He knew absolutely nothing about this world. If he continued exploring recklessly, he might be inexplicably slaughtered by something far more terrifying, far stronger.

"Looks like I need to properly consult Mr. Torin Eikum and get the specifics of this world's information cleared up."

Not acting rashly, Roger chose to return immediately.

He slipped back into the black hole, selected the Attack on Titan world, and returned to his original starting point—the dark street.

Back at his lodging, he could no longer contain his excitement. He immediately ordered Nelly Quick and the others to return with him to Paradis Island. And before the sky even brightened, he entered the Underground City, preparing to visit Mr. Torin Eikum.

But the moment he gently pushed open Mr. Torin Eikum's door, he froze—

Because Mr. Torin Eikum was lying on the tatami in his room, a pillow under his head, utterly silent.

Between his hands, he held a letter.
