Just as Mr. Torin Eikum said, Dior wouldn't stall for long. He knew that the more time he dragged out, the more disadvantageous it would become for him.
Information was like that—the longer it existed, the easier it was for the other side to learn it.
Once the other side learned everything, there would be no advantage left to speak of.
In the past, Dior never even looked at Roger Eikam, that scruffy brat, but after being shocked again and again, he felt it was better to be cautious.
This time, Roger had run to Hizuru. He was probably trying to sign some other agreements—trying to stabilize international relations. If that happened, his country would be able to gain a firm foothold, and by then, Roger would have enough time to build up his own army.
And once that happened, his strength would reach its peak, and dealing with him would become far harder.
Dior was, after all, from another world. To the people of this world, he was a natural threat. But if the people of this world united—if they fused all the power of the World Source together—then even Dior wouldn't have any chance to make a move.
So, after explaining all of this to Lailian, he set off once again to wage war against Roger.
Lailian was still the same as ever—drowning in women, completely uninterested in something like conquering the world.
He possessed the ability to see through the past and the future, to traverse time and worlds… yet he couldn't be bothered to go through all that trouble, because every crossing drained an enormous amount of his energy.
And besides, he had some secrets he couldn't tell anyone—secrets that made him unwilling to personally cross over anymore.
Yes, Dior would slowly grow stronger, but Lailian knew Dior's growth would always remain within his grasp.
He understood that "character" very well.
And as for the fact that he was evil—Lailian couldn't have been clearer about that.
Even so, he didn't want to do anything extra.
Letting Dior go conquer worlds wasn't a bad thing. That way, on one hand, he could always keep track of abnormal movements in other worlds, and on the other, he could happily enjoy family life.
In the world of Akame ga Kill!, he had already become the Supreme Ruler. No one could stop him.
Even if there were still rebel forces among certain northern barbarian tribes, trying to overturn his court, all he needed to do was lift a finger—use a black hole to assassinate their leader—and they would collapse without a fight.
Of course, in other worlds, Lailian's abilities weren't that freakish. Still, he figured: no matter how strong this "Roger" was, he couldn't just come to Lailian's world whenever he pleased, right?
And he believed that with all the various abilities from League of Legends empowering Dior, he shouldn't lose to the natives of some Titan world.
What's more, compared to the Titan world, the JOJO world was basically a dimensionality reduction strike.
Vampires, Stand users—what ability among those was something the Titans of the Titan world could handle?
And on top of that, the Titans over there had a fatal weakness: the nape of the neck.
Once the nape was pierced, everything ended.
It was just that Lailian hadn't watched Titans in a long time.
Ever since Season 3 ended, he hadn't paid attention to any news about Titans at all.
He'd heard the author, Hajime Isayama, had gotten his head kicked in by a donkey.
Some time ago after school, he'd heard classmates saying that the final few chapters of the manga crashed and burned—everyone's characterization fell apart.
Seeing their pained expressions, Lailian felt it was better not to read it.
Now, for no apparent reason, he'd crossed into the world of Akame ga Kill! and had already been here for many years, forging his position as the Supreme Ruler.
Even though his ability couldn't bring him back to his original world, in this world, he could still live extremely happily.
As the saying goes: "No transmigrator is a coward." That line was simply too true.
Even if the cheat ability sounded ordinary, to the natives, it was already a terrifying dimensionality reduction strike.
Bringing abilities from other worlds into a lower-tier world was, in a certain sense, an extremely terrifying thing.
Like dropping a nuclear bomb into a slice-of-life series—no one could withstand that.
Dior reported Roger's latest movements to him and told him that Roger was Tatsumi's son.
Tatsumi had once been his companion. In the end, dissatisfied with Lailian's methods of rule, he chose rebellion without hesitation. Then he was defeated by Dior, implanted with a flesh bud, and turned into a slave.
According to Dior, Tatsumi later broke free from the flesh bud's control himself—and even guided a plan with his own hands while keeping it hidden from them.
Roger was his son, and his son would carry out his last wish: to kill Lailian.
To Lailian, such a novel plotline was both utterly unbelievable and wildly imaginative.
But it was also… pretty common.
He had used his abilities to interfere with other worlds before, and it had produced all sorts of strange things too. In the end, the result was something called "worldline convergence."
Lailian felt that was the world's "self-healing," used to force the plot back onto the proper track.
For example, in the Naruto world, if Naruto were killed, some miraculous flashback would show up, get his wife Hinata pregnant, spit out his son Boruto, and then guide things back into a Boruto sequel.
The plot would be absurd beyond belief, but it would still make the logic feel more "connected."
Lailian believed that leaving Roger alone was the best outcome. The world would repair it—so what if he obtained the World Source?
In the entire Titan world, having the World Source didn't automatically make you the absolute boss.
Right now, Roger was on Paradis Island. If he obtained the World Source, it was very possible the world would label him a plot loophole, and then, in order to repair that loophole, push the entire world into becoming his enemy.
Could he withstand that?
With the Titans' half-baked skills, could he withstand the whole world's ironclad warships and heavy artillery?
Lailian didn't think so.
But since Dior insisted on seizing that world's World Source, then fine—let him go.
Anyway, Lailian understood that from the very beginning, he'd never once managed to persuade Dior. And he also knew that if that guy didn't get what he wanted, he would never stop.
After all, he was a standard villain archetype—evil to the bone, purely evil, with not the slightest room for pity.
It was just a shame about Tatsumi. Back then, he and Tatsumi had been extremely close companions.
Hiding together in a soaking-wet forest, eating wild fruit, loudly mocking each other, going on adventures together to hunt Danger Beasts.
Tatsumi had even once risked his life to save him. But in the end, because he despised Lailian's tyranny, he insisted on becoming his enemy.
"But do you know?" Lailian gazed into the silent night outside. "Peace is built on the foundation of force. If I weren't brutal, then the ones who would die… would be all of us. The people of Night Raid survived in the end—all because of me! Tatsumi!"
