Chapter 22 - Chapter 22

"Your grandpa let you die. Come on, try to cut me a few more times?"

Relying on his Chop-Chop Fruit ability, Buggy didn't put Kuro in his eyes at all.

Kuro's sudden attack also sent shivers down Kaya's spine. This man was too dangerous!

"Ha, hahaha..." Kuro looked at Buggy, thinking the same thing. He was stunned for a while, and then simply stopped looking at Buggy.

He pondered for a moment, then turned his gaze to Luffy and asked: "How did you know I was here? I clearly erased all traces. Did your useless subordinate tell you?"

Luffy waved his hand, saying with a relaxed expression: "I was just messing with you. I haven't even seen your subordinates. I heard from someone else that you were here, so I came to mess with you."

As soon as these words were spoken, the continuous smile on Kuro's face instantly froze. Immediately after, he suddenly turned to Usopp, his voice full of anger: "So it was you, you've known who I was all this time, that's why you deliberately got close to Kaya and were always fighting with me?"

Usopp looked baffled: "What? What does it have to do with me?"

"Yeah, it was me, I've known your background all this time, haha~" Usopp pretended to be calm, but his true nature was revealed, drawing suspicious looks from everyone.

"Forget it, it's no use talking about this now. As long as I take care of all of you and have Kaya complete her will, I'll still be Klahadore!" Kuro's words weren't even finished when his body flickered, and he rushed straight toward Luffy.

But at that moment, another change occurred.

Two minutes later.

Kuro's eyes were wide, glaring fiercely at the man who had ruined all his plans and shattered all his illusions, his eyes filled with rage and helplessness, practically livid. His face was ashen, and he stared at the Luffy, covered in injuries: "Tell me, do you want my life now, or will you turn me over to the Marines?"

Unfortunately, the last two minutes of battle had completely left him in despair. He never dreamed that this skinny youth would be as strong as a monster. No matter how he attacked, Luffy was completely unharmed. Even his extremely sharp cat claws, the Ten Blades, were broken. And his most proud Silent Footstep in the East Blue was even more insignificant in front of Luffy. He was once a great pirate with a 16 million Berry bounty, but now he couldn't even withstand one of Luffy's moves! They were not on the same level at all.

"Neither. My relationship with the Marines isn't close, and as for killing you... I can't bring myself to do it." Luffy shrugged, looking relaxed.

In Luffy's opinion, Kuro's strength was too bad, and his personality was vicious, so taking him on the ship would only be a burden. However, he was good for Zoro to train his skills on.

"Neither turning me over to the Marines nor killing me..." Kuro narrowed his eyes, and a sinister smile appeared at the corner of his mouth: "Then you want me to be your subordinate?"

"You're overthinking it, we don't care for people like you." Zoro glared at him and said loudly.

"A good-for-nothing who doesn't even want his own name doesn't deserve to be my subordinate."

"That's right, as a pirate, one can only give up their name when they die. With your resolve, you can only die here." Luffy calmly stared at Kuro, picking up where Zoro left off.

A man who was afraid of Marine pursuit, just disbanded his pirate crew, and still wanted to make a living off robbing the rich for the rest of his life. No matter how capable or cunning, they were scum!

"You, too, dare to underestimate me?" Kuro's face darkened, veins bulging on his forehead, his eyes narrowing into slits. He stared coldly at Zoro, who called him "good-for-nothing," a hint of killing intent in his eyes. He scoffed at Luffy, taunting: "Didn't you just say you wouldn't move?"

"Yeah, I did say that." Luffy's expression was calm, and he gently lowered his Straw Hat: "Zoro is yours."

After saying that, he took a step back and quietly whispered to Zoro: "We can't lose to a guy who disgraces pirates like this!"

Zoro nodded seriously after hearing this: "Understood."

To this Captain, he was more like half a teacher, half a friend to Zoro. Therefore, there was no need for anyone in this world who could provoke Luffy's killing intent to remain!

He quickly drew his swords with a crisp sound and stepped forward. When he got to the garden, he thrust his sword into the ground, donned his green bandana, and calmly asked Kuro: "Do you have any last words?"

"Last words? Heh heh, aren't you being a bit too arrogant? If he doesn't move, you're the one who will die." Kuro glanced sideways at Luffy, his mind already in turmoil.

His smile vanished instantly, and his eyes became fierce: "Next, I'll send you to hell with a spoon!"

As soon as his voice fell, he vanished. He had perfected the Silent Footstep to the extreme.

At the same time, Zoro closed his eyes and said softly: "I was born into a chaotic world, so I must cut away all distracting thoughts... If I can't even master Observation Haki, what right do I have to be your crewmate!"

Before his words were finished, he suddenly struck an attack pose.

"Iai: Shishi Sonson!"

Zoro seemed motionless, but his body suddenly vanished. Kuro's pupils suddenly constricted, and in the next second, he felt a flash of a blade pass through his body!

"Clang!"

Zoro sheathed his swords, and blood gushed out.

"Bang!"

Kuro didn't even have time to scream before he fell heavily to the ground. His eyes were wide open, unwilling to die!

At the end of the Grand Line, the Marine Headquarters, Marineford. The tall and solemn Headquarters building stood majestically. On the roof, two large "Marine" characters were drawn with iron hooks and silver lines, magnificent and impressive. Just one look made a person feel a strong sense of oppression, sending a chill down one's spine!

And inside the majestic Headquarters building, in a large green and white room, a group of high-ranking Marine officials sat cross-legged on chairs on both sides. On the table in front of them were delicious food and fine wine that had not yet been touched.

With a "thud," a wanted poster was tacked onto the bulletin board at the very front. The photo showed Monkey D. Luffy's smiling face, obviously a newly printed bounty notice! It read: "Capture Alive Only," Bounty amount: 40 million Berries!

"From the beginning of the Great Pirate Era until now, there have always been a few troublesome characters popping up on the seas..." Vice Admiral Momousagi, standing at the front, said with a serious expression: "And that East Blue, known as the 'weakest,' often produces the most ferocious people!"

"Following Gol D. Roger, Portgas D. Ace, and Monkey D. Dragon, just recently, another Monkey D. Luffy has emerged! This person has only been at sea for just over a month. First, he helped the Marines take down a Commander, then he converged with Buggy, the former apprentice crewmate of the Pirate King, and now he's causing another big commotion..."

As soon as these words were spoken, the people around immediately erupted into chatter. Vice Admiral Tokikake, sitting at the very front, crossed his arms and raised an eyebrow, asking: "Hey, hey, hey, this Luffy isn't Garp-sensei's grandson, is he?"

"He took care of Buggy, who had a 15 million Berry bounty, killed Commander Morgan, and now he's gone to Syrup Village... This person is really noisy."

Vice Admiral Momousagi, across from him, rolled her eyes at him, not bothering to respond, and swallowed the words she was about to say. This person was too noisy, talking to him was exhausting.
