Schwarzer was indeed deliberately not looking for them. Although Gojo Satoru had temporarily lost his combat capability, Jujutsu High had a large number of people, and the lineup was actually very strong.
She had to put some pressure on the protagonist group so they could grow.
The number of Jujutsu Sorcerers was not originally large, but here they had at least six individuals with the strength of a Grade 1 Jujutsu Sorcerer, which would normally be completely sufficient to deal with any opponent.
Unfortunately, this was not a normal situation. The Jujutsu Sorcerers and Cursed Users converging on Tokyo were all powerful existences, and they were advancing towards Jujutsu High with great tacit understanding.
Along the way, they saw many ordinary people killing each other, but only ordinary people would do that. Killing them only yielded half their Cursed Energy, which was far too inefficient.
Even if one could kill a thousand people a day, it would only amount to a few thousand units of Cursed Energy. While not insignificant, relatively speaking, they lacked time.
Only Jujutsu Sorcerers lacking confidence in themselves, and new recruits who had just awakened their Cursed Techniques, would target ordinary people.
Most of these veteran Jujutsu Sorcerers spent their time traveling, as everyone wanted to personally kill Gojo Satoru to acquire his invincible power.
Of course, if they encountered high-point targets on the way, they would eliminate them incidentally.
The home invasions Schwarzer observed were not uncommon in current Tokyo. Many triple-digit point fanatics, in pursuit of more power, ultimately chose to abandon their humanity.
However, in the eyes of true Jujutsu Sorcerers, they were merely experience packs. Killing such people not only carried no psychological burden but also yielded a good amount of points and Cursed Energy.
"Points close to nine hundred. It seems you've killed quite a few people. But with this level of strength, do you only target ordinary people?"
On the spiderweb-cracked wall, only a puddle of unrecognizable blood remained, clearly indicating the corpse had been reclaimed by the God Tree.
These were various 'settings' that appeared after the Culling Game began. Everyone had long since grown accustomed to it; if corpses weren't dealt with, the entire city would be too disgusting.
'Zenin Naoya, Jujutsu Sorcerer, Total Points – nine thousand nine hundred (Grade 1 Jujutsu Sorcerer).'
Feeling the Cursed Energy within him increase by another segment, Zenin Naoya smiled.
Ignoring the few people rescued inside the house, he left directly.
These thugs were like respawning small fry; though not many, they were definitely there if one searched carefully.
People like them possessed Cursed Energy but lacked any Cursed Technique, and had not systematically learned to use Cursed Energy, thus they could only crudely enhance their bodies.
Even with equal points, they had no chance of winning against a true Jujutsu Sorcerer.
"Just a little bit more. Let's find a few more villainous experience packs. With your current strength, you're not strong enough to participate in Special Grade combat."
"For your Cursed Energy to break through to Special Grade, you'll probably need at least ten thousand points."
Behind Zenin Naoya stood an old man with slicked-back hair. Despite being in a combat situation, he wore a haori over a dark yukata, with tabi socks and geta sandals.
But no one would underestimate him for this. Zenin Naoya responded obediently to his instructions, for that was his father, Zenin Naobito.
'Zenin Naobito, Jujutsu Sorcerer, Total Points – twelve thousand (Special Grade Sorcerer).'
Frenzied thugs hunted ordinary people, while Jujutsu Sorcerers hunted these high-point thugs. In a sense, it was a food chain, and a highly efficient one.
As the current head of the Zenin family, one of the Jujutsu world's Big Three families, he had not participated in a certain high-level meeting, which was why he survived.
After learning that all the so-called higher-ups had been annihilated, the Zenin family, the only one with a family head, immediately swallowed up the entire Japanese Jujutsu world.
However, the appearance of the Culling Game shattered their delusion of ruling the entire Jujutsu world. The focus now was no longer on ruling the Jujutsu world, but on survival.
In just a few short hours, Zenin Naobito had already broken through to Special Grade. This was even without him fully unleashing himself, merely killing a few passing 'elite monsters'.
The rule in the Culling Game that allowed inheriting half of the opponent's Cursed Energy upon killing them was terrifying.
With the assistance of the entire Zenin family, he quickly grasped the general classifications: anyone under a thousand points was considered negligible, a Grade 1 Jujutsu Sorcerer had over five thousand points, and a Special Grade had ten thousand points.
By this reckoning, three Grade 1 Jujutsu Sorcerers cultivating each other (like 'raising venomous insects') could produce one Special Grade Sorcerer.
Not to mention other methods: by abandoning humanity and killing ten thousand people, one could accumulate enough Cursed Energy to reach Special Grade.
He also discovered some hidden settings: Innate Techniques could also be acquired by killing opponents, and one could even possess multiple Cursed Techniques simultaneously!
Zenin Naobito immediately set his sights on Gojo Satoru. If he could kill the unconscious Gojo Satoru, with the Six Eyes and Limitless, combined with his Projection Sorcery, he could inherit the title of the strongest.
"Just a hundred points short. Wouldn't killing a few dozen ordinary people be enough? They have at least four or five points each, right?"
Zenin Naoya looked at the now completely quiet street. The killers they called 'elite monsters' had all vanished, and he was a bit impatient to receive the Special Grade evaluation.
"The Special Grade point designation merely means your Cursed Energy has reached Special Grade. At the same Cursed Energy level, how long do you think it would take me to kill you? How long would it take Gojo Satoru to kill you?"
"The increase in points isn't as significant as you imagine, and… if you want to die, you can try."
Zenin Naobito gave him an unpleasant look. After Naoya uttered those words, a powerful Cursed Energy locked onto them.
A streak of light flashed across the sky. Schwarzer glanced at the two from afar, determined they were merely talking, and then left again.
'[Warning] The slaughter of ordinary people is prohibited.'
Zenin Naoya heard this reminder in his ear. The light words, however, left him with no thought of disobedience.
He had previously used the point detector, activated by the 'elite monster', and successfully seen the numerical value of the figure in the sky.
'Schwarzer, Jujutsu Sorcerer/Ninja/Human, Total Points – one hundred twenty thousand (Tailed Beast-level).'
According to the data they found in the detector, the second position indicated the profession of Jujutsu Sorcerer or Ninja, with Cursed Techniques as the primary focus being Jujutsu Sorcerer, and Chakra as the primary focus being Ninja. So what profession was 'Human'?
But whatever it was, Zenin Naoya knew one thing: one hundred twenty thousand points was not an existence he could contend with. Their combined father-son points were just a fraction of hers.
"That person must be the legendary 'student' who fought Gojo Satoru to a draw, the new arrival."
"Are you talking about the person who can learn Gojo Satoru's Cursed Techniques? Wasn't that just a rumor?"
Zenin Naoya immediately recalled the rumors from a few days ago, stating that someone had learned Limitless and fought Gojo Satoru to a draw.
"Now it seems it probably was just a rumor. How could Gojo Satoru possibly defeat that monster."
