Battle POV
"You're outnumbered, Yoarashi. Maybe you should try to find allies. Facing me alone is useless," Ectoplasm told the Class A wind user as he surrounded him with his clones.
Damnit, how could I blow Momo away with my wind? That was such a mistake, the buzz-cut boy thought. Looking around him, he saw few escape routes.
Then suddenly…
"What is this substance? Ink?" Ectoplasm wondered as white liquid with red streaks started flowing on the ground. Before either of them could figure out who caused this, the liquid reshaped itself and formed the Japanese kanji 縛 (Bind) on the ground under them, which seemed to cause that neither Ectoplasm and his clones nor Inasa could move.
"What the hell is going on here?" the wind user wondered aloud. Then, feeling a sensation of being grabbed by seemingly gigantic hands, he looked behind him. An orange-haired young woman with quirk-enhanced gigantic hands grabbed onto him.
"I'm sorry, lady, but what are you doing?" Inasa asked frantically.
"Kidnapping you, of course," she answered before picking him up and running away from Ectoplasm. "Thanks, Cross. He's all yours. I'm using this one here for the time being," she yelled to the student with white dreads, who seemed to be leaking the very pretty-looking ink out of a cut from his forearm.
"Yeah, yeah, just get away from here. Ectoplasm is ours!" he yelled back.
As Ectoplasm broke free from the bind and got a good look at the two new students he was now forced to battle, he realized something. "You're the student who always skips my classes!" referring to Isaiah.
"So what? Gonna be mad at me for it?"
"You little…!"
Meanwhile, with the captured Inasa:
"You're the wind guy from Class A, right?" the girl asked, still carrying him around in her hands.
"Correct, Inasa Yoarashi at your service!" he yelled. "But what do you need me for?"
"You're going to help me steal the bells from Midnight. With your quirk, you can just blow away her sleeping gas," she clarified. "I'm Itsuka, by the way. Itsuka Kendo."
"Great idea, Miss Kendo!" he agreed with a smile, but then realized, "Could you drop me now… please?"
As they approached the section of the field covered with the pink gas Midnight was releasing, many students were already asleep and subsequently out of the festival.
"Alright, here you go. Wind baseball throw!" Kendo confirmed before yeeting him right towards Midnight.
"That's not what I meant!!!" poor Inasa thought as he formed a cyclone of wind around himself to keep the gas at bay.
The sudden gust tore through the outer edge of Midnight's gas field, disrupting its spread and drawing attention from nearby students who immediately began shifting toward the opening.
That same ripple of movement extended outward
and carried into another sector of the battlefield.
Somewhere entirely different, a bird-headed human was standing back to back with a blonde student.
"I can't believe I got separated from Tetsu-Tetsu, and now I have to fight with a Class A chump," Neito Monoma complained.
They were currently facing Power Loader, a notoriously difficult-to-beat teacher who spent most of his fights underground, terrorizing his opponents.
"Shut your mouth!" Tokoyami snapped back. "Or I won't let you copy Dark Shadow."
The sentient bird-shaped shadow that was connected to Tokoyami's stomach was currently underground in the tunnels Power Loader dug, trying to get him out.
"Oh, boo-hoo. We both know we don't stand a chance against this mole unless you do, so just let me touch you!" Monoma stated, turning around and grabbing the bird boy's arm.
"As much as I hate you, you're right. With only Tetsu-Tetsu's quirk copied, you're pretty much useless," the shadow user confirmed, letting his quirk get copied.
Now a shadow started to emerge from the copy user's stomach and formed… a shadow version of him with googly eyes and a derpy expression?
Confusing both students momentarily as they looked at it with a deadpan expression.
"What's that thing? Why does mine look so derpy and idiotic?"
"My guess is that it reflects the user's true soul," Tokoyami stated with a very satisfied smile.
"So what should I do, Neito?" the derpy shadow asked friendly.
"Get down in the tunnels and search for Power Loader, you idiot!" he yelled at the construct, still fuming from the bird-headed student's earlier comment.
"I'll show you how smart I am, bird brain! I'll—"
He was about to continue when he was interrupted by Present Mic through the speakers.
"AND WE HAVE OUR NEXT SUCCESSFUL BELL THIEVES! CLASS A'S EIJIRO KIRISHIMA AND MOMO YAOYOROZU HAVE MANAGED TO STEAL ERASER'S BELLS!!"
Somewhere else, Class A's representative heard this and thought, That's the way to go, Yaoyorozu! Now I just have to get my own bell.
Tenya Iida, utilizing his quirk Engine, which is a mutation type that caused him to be born with engines in his calves, dodged blood projectiles thrown by Vlad King.
"Stand still, goddammit!" the frustrated hero yelled after the student who was annoying him by running around him in circles.
Iida had far superior speed and agility, so Vlad King wasn't able to do much.
Engine boost: Flash Step, Iida stated in his own mind, briefly boosting his engine output to maximum in a specific direction and halting it after reaching his destination in order to achieve a sort of nearly instant teleportation over very short distances.
Appearing behind Vlad King, he readied a quirk-enhanced kick.
However…
"I can still react to that," Vlad King stated as if it were an irrefutable fact. Decades of hero work had honed his senses enough that reading a simple move like that was child's play.
So he formed a shield of blood at the point of impact and easily tanked the hit.
Then, liquefying his blood again, he trapped Iida's foot at the point of impact and was already preparing a punch to his face—
when suddenly another student with metallic skin crashed into them, easily breaking the blood and freeing Iida.
"Damn that Joker, sent me flying so easily," the metal student, Tetsu-Tetsu Tetsu-Tetsu, complained, unaware he was sitting on top of Vlad King.
"Get off of me, Tetsu-Tetsu!" the pro yelled as he threw the metal student away towards Iida.
"Do I look like a pillow to you?"
Getting up, the students locked eyes with each other.
He shattered Vlad King's hardened blood so easily, Iida thought.
"You there, Metal Knight, I request your assistance in defeating the professor."
"AND WE'VE GOT ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL BELL THIEF… I STAND CORRECTED, WE HAVE FOUR SUCCESSFUL THIEVES. ECTOPLASM AND MIDNIGHT HAVE LOST THEIR BELLS. NOW ONLY HALF OF THE BELLS REMAIN GUARDED BY THE TEACHERS. WHO WILL BE THE NEXT?" Present Mic announced to the audience, with the number of cheering voices growing exponentially.
"Damn, it's getting tight," Tetsu-Tetsu murmured. "Fine, four-eyes, you got a deal. What's the plan?"
"We're using you as a weapon," Iida explained, shocking the fellow student, who gave him a deadpan look.
"I'm sorry, what now?"
He said before Iida grabbed onto his feet and tried lifting the heavy metal student, while Vlad was shooting blood spikes at them that Tetsu-Tetsu just tanked with his iron skin.
"We will use you as a projectile, and I shall spin and throw you at the professor," Iida explained with full seriousness. "Now I require you to shift your skin back to normal until I yell 'Now.'"
Unsure, the metal student thought about it for a moment before reluctantly agreeing and deactivating his quirk.
"I hope you know what you're doing."
"Thank you for your cooperation," Iida replied as he yanked him by the feet and used his Flash Step to get them behind Vlad.
There, he used his engines to spin them like a tornado.
"Why the hell did I agree to this?! I'm so gonna barf later!" the projectile complained.
"Improvised move: Tetsu Tornado Throw!" Iida yelled as he let go of the metal student at the exact moment to send him towards Vlad King.
"Ahhhh, I hate this move!!" the projectile yelled as he flew towards a shocked-looking pro hero.
"Now!" the engine user yelled, letting his partner know that impact was imminent.
Transforming at the right moment, Tetsu-Tetsu crashed into the pro at terminal velocity and broke through all blood shields.
"Oh, what the hell? I'm not getting paid enough for this," before knocking the hero out cold with a headbutt.
Groggily getting up, the metal student looked around and snatched the bells from Vlad's belt.
"Splendid work, Sir Metal Knight. Now let us go! I shall carry you on my back till this round is over," Iida congratulated and knelt in front of Tetsu-Tetsu with his back to him, waiting for the silver student to hop on.
"You're weird, you know that? But you're an honorable person at least," he replied before getting on Iida's back and immediately feeling the air resistance against his face because of Iida's sheer speed.
"WHAT DO WE HAVE HERE, DEAR AUDIENCE? A TRIPLE KNOCKOUT! VLAD KING, POWER LOADER, AND JOKER HAVE BEEN ROBBED OF THEIR BELLS! AND YOUNG IIDA AND TETSU-TETSU EVEN MANAGED TO KNOCK VLAD UNCONSCIOUS! Poor fellow got hit with an iron headbutt. ANYWAYS, NOW ONLY TWO BELLS REMAIN IN THE TEACHERS' POSSESSION!" Mic announced, and the crowd roared with excitement.
Momo Yaoyorozu was currently standing back to back with Kirishima. They were defending their bells against the other students who wished to steal them.
"Come on, Shoto! We're running out of space to run away. Hurry up and get those last bells!" the creation user complained while deflecting dragon scales that were shot at her by a Class B student.
When all of a sudden, the ice walls exploded outwards, momentarily shocking everyone in the arena and giving Momo and Kirishima the chance to escape.
When the ice cleared, two figures emerged, both bruised and with their shirts burned off.
Shoto and Satoru came out and presented their bells to the stadium.
"AND THERE YOU HAVE IT, FOLKS! ROUND TWO OF THE SPORTS FESTIVAL IS COMPLETED! WE HAVE OUR 16 COMPETITORS FOR THE ONE-ON-ONE TOURNAMENT!" Mic yelled through the speakers alongside a shrill beeping noise.
And from behind Shoto and Satoru came the very teacher they stole the bells from, with the top half of his yukata hanging from his waist and a couple of minor bruises and cuts.
Bakugo had a grin on his face and gave both students a hard pat on the back, sending them tumbling forward and falling from the wall.
Now the contestants for the final round were decided, and soon their pairings for the first round of the 1 vs. 1 tournament would be announced.
