Chapter 1 - what do you want

It started with a beautiful Omega, running in the rain.

His legs burned as he ran through the forest, heart racing, lungs hurting.

"What do you want from me?!" he cried out, but no one answered.

The sound of footsteps followed him. Closer. Closer.

By the time he reached the city, his strength was gone. His body gave up, and he fell on the wet road. Rain soaked his hair and clothes.

From a dark corner, a deep voice spoke.

"What a beautiful Omega… fainted right in front of me."

A tall man stepped out. His eyes scanned the boy for a moment before he bent down and gently picked him up.

> Such a weak Omega, the man thought. What should I do with you?

Far behind, the man chasing him stopped at the city's edge. His face twisted with anger.

"Damn it… I lost him," he growled. "But soon… soon I'll find him. No Omega gets away from me."

Later – In a Hotel Room

Aiden woke up slowly. His head hurt. His body felt heavy.

"Where… where am I?" he whispered.

A deep voice came from the corner.

"You're in my hotel, silly."

Aiden sat up fast. A man was there. Tall. Broad. Strong. His sharp eyes never left Aiden's face.

"What… what happened to me?" Aiden asked, scared.

"You fainted in the street," the man said, stepping closer. "So I brought you here."

"Why?" Aiden's voice shook.

The man tilted his head, looking at him. "You're even more beautiful up close," he said softly. "I could smell your pheromone from across the street… sweet, like honey."

Aiden clutched the blanket around him. "Who are you?"

The man leaned down and brushed a soft kiss against his cheek.

"Leo," he said. "And I saved you… because I like you."

Aiden's eyes went wide. "What? You don't even know me!"

Leo's voice dropped. "Then get to know me. Be mine… or keep running until he catches you. Which will you choose?"

Aiden froze. His hands shook. "…If I say yes… what happens then?"

Leo's eyes darkened. "Then you'll belong to me," he said. "And no one will ever hurt you again."

Aiden swallowed hard. "…Please," he whispered. "Please help me."

Leo brushed a wet strand of hair from his face. "Then it's done. You're mine now."

That night, footsteps came down the hallway. Slow. Heavy.

"I can smell it…" a cruel voice said from outside the door. "That sweet honey scent. He's here."

The door opened.

Aiden froze, his heart pounding. He clutched the blanket tighter, shaking.

Leo stepped in front of him, blocking the view. His voice was sharp and calm.

"Stay behind me."

In the doorway stood the man from the forest. His grin was cruel.

"There you are, little Omega," the man said. "Your smell drives me crazy."

Aiden's eyes filled with tears. His fear made his scent grow sweeter.

Leo's voice turned cold. "You won't touch him. He's mine."

The man laughed. "Yours? Don't be stupid. I've claimed hundreds of Omegas. One more won't matter. Step aside."

"No!" Aiden cried. "Leo, please… don't let him touch me!"

Leo glanced back at him for a moment, his touch gentle as he brushed Aiden's hair.

"I told you," he said softly. "I'll protect you."

Then his eyes went hard again. "If you try to take him… you'll regret it."

The air grew heavy as the two men glared at each other.

"You made a mistake coming here," Leo said coldly. "This Omega is mine."

The man growled but stepped back. Without another word, he disappeared into the night.

Silence.

Aiden's knees gave out. He fell to the floor, shaking. His sweet scent filled the room even more.

Leo froze. His eyes narrowed.

"Aiden… you're in heat, aren't you?"

Aiden's face went red. His body felt hot and weak.

"I-I don't know… but it hurts… I feel strange…"

Without thinking, his hands grabbed Leo's shirt.

"Leo… don't leave me… please…"

Leo pulled him close, holding him steady.

"I won't leave," he said. "But your scent… if anyone else smells it, they'll come. Stay with me."

"What should I do?" Aiden whispered, voice breaking. "I can't stop it…"

Leo's arms tightened around him. "Then stay close. You're mine now. No one will touch you but me."

Aiden buried his face against Leo's chest, trembling. "Leo… it's too much… I can't take it…"

"Shh," Leo whispered, stroking his hair. "I'm here. You don't have to fight it alone."

Their pheromones mixed in the room, the air thick and heavy.

Leo's voice dropped. "Do you want me to stay with you through this?"

Aiden looked up, tears in his eyes, and nodded. "Yes… please… don't let me go."

Leo leaned down and kissed him, soft and slow.

"This is our bond," he whispered. "When you're in heat, I'll be the one by your side. Always."

Aiden clung to him. "I… I trust you."

Leo laid him gently on the bed, pulling the blanket over him.

"You're safe," he said softly. "Sleep if you can. I'll guard you all night."

Aiden's eyes grew heavy, his breathing slowing. He fell asleep in Leo's arms, his face pressed to his chest.

Leo stroked his hair and whispered,

"Sleep well, my Omega. I'll guard you tonight… and every night after."
