The small boat finally reached the shore. Mamir, Runya, Ener, and Necor stepped onto the sand, breathing deeply. Behind them, the underwater caverns were now only a memory. Krakven was dead, the sea people were free. But the adventure was far from over—it was only the beginning of a new chapter.
Farewell with Kirarya and Bete
In the courtyard of the Sahal royal palace, Kirarya embraced her son.
— "My son…" she whispered, tears glistening. "I am so proud of you. Every step you take carries us closer to the light."
Mamir held her hands firmly.
— "Mother, I will carry this struggle you entrusted to me to the very end. No matter what happens."
Bete, unable to hide her tears, placed her hand on Mamir's shoulder.
— "Nephew, I will pray for you. Your path is long, but trust in the light within your heart."
Mamir embraced them tightly, feeling the pain of parting, yet determination shone on his face.
The Map Discussion
Later, King Eavar summoned Mamir and his companions to the great stone table where a vast map was spread out. His finger slid northward.
— "The nearest path lies here," he said. "The lands of Kuzren… the cold, icy kingdom of the North. If you travel through here, you'll save time and may even forge bonds with the northern people."
Mamir nodded. Inside, he thought: One of the cursed places Traven mentioned. With resolute eyes fixed on the map, he declared:
— "Then Kuzren shall be our next destination."
Choosing the Horses
It was time to depart. In the royal stables, three magnificent steeds awaited. Kabur, Mamir's loyal horse, neighed upon recognizing his master. Runya smiled and climbed up behind Mamir, wrapping her arms around him.
Ener took the reins of his steadfast mount, Karatay, his eyes gleaming with battle fire.
For Necor, King Eavar presented a gift: a swift, powerful horse with golden-yellow mane and coat.
— "This is our fastest steed," the king said with pride. "Her name is Sarı Kız. She is yours, Necor."
Necor stroked the horse's mane with gratitude.
— "Thank you, my friend. She will serve me well on this journey."
Departure
Mamir pulled Kabur's reins and turned to his companions, raising his voice with authority:
— "Our path is clear. We ride for Kuzren. This is not only our fate, but a battle for the destiny of the entire world!"
Ener raised his sword and shouted:
— "Darkness will never win!"
Necor and Runya both nodded in unison. Behind them, the prayers of Sahal's people, of Kirarya, Bete, and King Eavar, followed like a blessing.
Thus, Mamir, Runya, Ener, and Necor—mounted on Kabur, Karatay, and Sarı Kız—set out toward new adventures. Ahead, beyond the horizon, awaited the icy lands of Kuzren.
