Chapter 45 - Chapter 45 – Mother and Son

In the deepest chamber of Galamon, the shadows had finally scattered. The light bursting from Mamir's sword shattered the dark chains and the box-like cage into nothing. The prison was gone—leaving behind only Queen Kirarya, who had waited for years in longing. Weakened, yet the pride and resolve in her eyes still burned as brightly as on the very first day.

Mamir rushed to his mother. He fell to his knees and reached out his arms.

— "Mother…" he whispered, his voice trembling. "I missed you so much. I love you more than anything… and I am proud of you. Your war against the darkness… it is my inheritance now."

Kirarya embraced her son. Tears streamed down her cheeks as she whispered:

— "My son, Mamir… I missed you too. There wasn't a single moment I didn't think of you. I love you with all my heart."

She drew a deep breath, her voice heavy with both pain and honor.

— "But I had to protect the kingdom of Harland and your father, King Visernes. As the last princess of the Turok line, that duty was mine. Our ancestors were destroyed centuries ago by Ostomas, yet they survived among the people. And when I finally married Visernes… the name of Turok was almost erased from history."

Her voice faltered.

— "Even your father never knew. For there was enmity between Harland and the Turoks… Ostomas, as Harland's first king, had destroyed our house. That is why I never told you. You were too young… not ready yet."

Mamir gripped her shoulders tightly.

— "I know, Mother… I learned the secret of the Turoks long ago. But it gives me strength. Because your blood runs through me."

Kirarya smiled through her tears.

— "My son… that is why you are our light."

At that moment, Necor approached. He had been silently watching, but now he fell to his knees. His eyes glistened, his voice shook.

— "Sister…" he said, compressing years of longing into a single word.

Kirarya touched her brother's forehead, her tears falling freely.

— "Necor… I thought I would never see you again."

Necor lowered his head, his fists clenched.

— "I will never forgive myself for not protecting you."

Kirarya smiled softly through her tears.

— "No, brother… You were always with me. In my heart."

Just then, a new voice broke the silence. Ener emerged from the dark corridor, breathing heavily but wearing a faint smile.

— "I don't mean to interrupt… but someone else is waiting above." he said.

Everyone turned to him. Ener continued:

— "Bete is waiting for you."

The air in the chamber shifted. Kirarya's eyes welled up, Necor's heart pounded. Their sister—long lost—was only a few steps away.

Mamir looked at them all, then took a deep breath.

— "Our journey is still long. First, Bete… then the Dwarven realm, and after that the Elven kingdom. Let's go!"

And so, Mamir, Runya, Ener, Necor, and Kirarya began their ascent. For the light had reunited their loved ones… and the end of darkness was drawing near.
