Chapter 70: The Oracle of the Skywing Tribe

What is this?

A vision from the future?

Kurtz stared at the holy sword in his hand, uncertainty clouding his eyes.

Why would this holy sword show him visions of the future?

He knew that in later generations, there was magic that could predict the future. The Demon Race's Omniscient Schlacht and humanity's strongest hero, the hero of the south, both possessed this power.

Later, to avoid seeing through each other's actions, both chose to perish together.

And now, he seemed to have mastered this magic?

Is this magic inherent to the Orger, Sword of Divine Authority?

A holy sword that can see the future...

Kurtz didn't know why this holy sword would show him visions of the future. Did it want him to change this future?

Or was it simply a premonition? He didn't like this prophecy trope, and now the weight of prophecy thing was feeling more heavier than the blade itself.

However, he couldn't even achieve immortality at the moment.

Although he could use the magic he had created before to achieve eternal life, human souls were too fragile to withstand the erosion of time.

A sudden voice interrupted Kurtz's thoughts.

Eric's eyes widened as he stared at the gleaming holy sword in Kurtz's hand, swallowing hard: "This is insane! Kurtz, you have two holy swords now!"

Norn shook his head with a bitter smile: "It seems you are the so-called fated one, Kurtz! I really don't understand."

The holy sword forged by the Dwarves was waiting for a human to pull it out. Norn couldn't grasp the reason behind it.

Don't you Dwarves have a suitable fated one?

Somo laughed: "A human actually pulled out the legendary holy sword forged by the Dwarves. If those old fogies knew, they'd probably jump up in anger!"

His beard twitched with amusement as he imagined the council elders' outrage.

Somo himself didn't care; he was pretty happy that his companion had gained the holy sword's recognition.

"It is strange! Isn't this your Dwarves' holy sword? This is truly odd."

Eric clearly wanted to be a fated one, or perhaps he also wanted such a cool holy sword.

Even though this guy had chosen to become a mage, his warrior instincts were still deeply ingrained.

After the initial shock, Serie now seemed very calm, but her tone carried a hint of teasing: "What, jealous?"

Although she didn't know why Kurtz had gained the holy sword's recognition, it was good for her.

The legendary holy sword that could slay gods was now in Kurtz's hands. She was already looking forward to the moment when the two of them would kill a god.

"Jealous? Me?" Eric immediately straightened his back, feigning indifference.

"How could that be! I just think Kurtz, won't two swords be too heavy for you? Do you want me to help carry one?"

As he spoke, he secretly reached out to touch the hilt of El's Light, which Kurtz didn't stop.

The magic stored in El's Light had been used up to replenish Serie's magic, meaning it was now time to replenish it again.

Moreover, its weight had returned to its original state, so Eric couldn't even lift it at first. The sword might as well have been forged from lead.

Eric withdrew his hand, chuckling awkwardly: "Ahem, never mind. Since ancient times, treasures have belonged to the capable."

Everyone immediately burst out laughing.

Kurtz shook his head helplessly, hanging both holy swords at his waist: "Alright, stop messing around. Now that we have the holy swords, it's time to find the other thing."

Everyone stopped laughing. They all knew what Kurtz was referring to.

One of the culprits rumoured to have destroyed the Dwarf Kingdom is the Holy Relic Stone Slab.

"Yes, yes, yes!" Eric immediately changed the subject; he didn't want to be laughed at anymore. "Where is the stone slab? It's not hidden in some place that only a 'fated one' can open, is it?"

Serie walked to the stone platform and lightly tapped it: "It's this."

In her vision, the stone platform before her emitted a powerful magical aura, even condensing into a visible, shimmering form. The power radiating from it was so dense that it made her skin tingle.

Clearly, this was the legendary Holy Relic Stone Slab.

"This is too big, isn't it?"

Kurtz walked forward and studied the stone platform before him. A rough estimate put its weight at several tons at least; there was no way the few of them could move it.

"There are inscriptions on it. It looks like they were carved later."

Serie caressed the carved words, her voice tinged with complex emotions. The stone felt warm beneath her fingertips, pulsing with ancient power.

"What does it say?" Kurtz leaned closer, standing beside her.

Serie was silent for a moment, then shook her head: "The runes on it are ancient script; it will take time to decipher."

Her fingers traced the carved lines with practised precision, but the script was older than anything in her considerable experience.

Kurtz nodded: "No rush. We can stay here a bit longer and leave once we figure out a way."

This stone slab had to be taken absolutely. After all, such a large-scale power bank was too valuable, and combined with El's Light's charging effect, it could definitely unleash an earth-shattering God Strike.

Moreover, Serie knew a magic that allowed people to survive for long periods without food or water, which would come in handy now.

Eric sighed, looking around regretfully: "So many treasures, can't we take them all?"

Somo patted his shoulder, grinning: "Greed is not good. Let these things continue to slumber."

At the same time.

Heavenly Divine Kingdom.

The Skywing Clan's nation had no fixed king, but was led by an organisation called the Thirteen Council.

The thirteen core Skywing Clan members of the council all possessed the power to communicate with the Goddess. Each bore intricate tattoos that glowed softly when divine messages arrived, marking them as chosen vessels for celestial will.

Now, as Kurtz gained the recognition of the Orger, Sword of Divine Authority, the Thirteen Council once again received a command from the Goddess.

It was the first divine oracle the Goddess had cast in hundreds of years, since the destruction of the First Dwarf Kingdom. The sudden divine presence sent ripples of unease through the council chambers.

[Use God Strike on the ruins of the First Dwarf Kingdom.]

The Goddess's divine oracle was simple, so much so that the members of the Skywing Clan's council found it incomprehensible.

There were not many monsters left at the ruins of the First Dwarf Kingdom; most demons and monsters had gone to the front lines in the Elf Forest. Using God Strike would be meaningless.

Could it be that the Goddess wanted to launch a surprise attack on these monsters' home base?

The Skywing Clan members were all at a loss. They exchanged uncertain glances, their usual confidence shaken by the cryptic nature of the command.

God Strike was the Skywing Clan's most terrifying technique.

All Skywing Clan Warriors simultaneously unleashed their most potent attack, their power converging to rival a god's attack.

This attack was capable of destroying any nation or race in this world. The very air would burn, and the earth itself would crack under such concentrated divine fury.

With one strike, even the ruins of the First Dwarf Kingdom would vanish from this world.

And now, outwardly, their side was still allied with the Dwarves, but turning around to flatten their Ancestral Land seemed inappropriate. The political implications alone could destabilise their entire alliance structure.

However, since it was a divine oracle personally bestowed by the Goddess, the Skywing Clan members had no thought of resisting and thus recalled all Skywing Clan Warriors from the front lines.

Led by the core thirteen Skywing Clan members, they set off toward the Dwarf Ancestral Land!
