Chapter 7 - Human's morality

As i was led out of the tent, i got into a big stone room where multiple people sat in corners waiting for something.

"Ugh." I let out a groan as they threw me on the ground before leaving.

Standing up, i noticed that almost everyone was staring at me. Their eyes didn't seem like the ones of old man from before, it was more of a calculating looks that i recieved.

The room was pretty big with two entrances, one being the tents exit while the other was a big wooden door on the opposite side of the room.

I looked around the people until my gaze settled on a young looking person who seemed like he got recently captured aswell.

Without hesitation, i walked over and sat down leaning on the wall next to him.

Giving me a short glance looking displeased. "What do you want?" He said quietly not letting anyone in on the conversation.

"Where is this place?" Asking him curiously i leaned on my knees slightly.

"And what will happen to us now?" I added before looking at him.

His look turned grim like he was reminiscing of something terrible before his lips parted.

"This place is the tribesmen nest."

I could feel the tension rising in the air as there were suddenly footsteps outside of the room, they seemed to get closer to us.

"And about our situation..." He paused slightly looking toward the big wooden gate and then continuing in a serious tone.

"It's a sick game of theirs making us fight between ourself."

Just after he finished speaking multiple tribesmen entered the room while holding spears. They went towards the gate and with little to no effort opened it entirely. The rest of them kicked or hit people with spear shafts to make them stand up. They gathered us up in a big clump and pushed into the new exit.

Without any resistance, we entered the next area, or something similar to an...

"Arena..." Mumbling it subcounciously i saw hundreds no, thousands of tribesmen sitting and jumping around on the spectator section.

"Good luck, kid." The man told me as he went forward to stand in one corner of the arena.

It was completely covered in sand with various broken weapons imbeded in the ground. There were rocks and small dried trees as cover but with the sheer amount of people it would be impossible to make use of them.

Standing there i didn't notice that everyone seemed to have already went away with me standing by myself at the entrance.

It probably didn't matter to them though as the gates closed and silence followed.

What's going on. The tribesmen immediately calmed down stopping their charades and looking at one particularly empty spot at the very top of the arena.

Then, the big tribesman appeared out of nowhere with four small ones bringing his throne for him. When they placed it down, he sat on it and looked over the arena giving off his overwhelming aura.

KRAAAAA!!! A wild roar reverbeated throughout the arena followed by screeches of other small tribesmen. The humans that were currently waiting in the corners started to ran towards the center of the arena like chasing something.

At the centre of arena stood a lone sword, looking like it was in pristine condition for years or maybe decades. With a dark long hilt and thick blade i instantly knew that it was a greatsword of a superb quality.

People ran towards it like in a daze grabbing whatever weapon they could find and..

"AAAH!" The first scream could be heard in the arena as a person got gutted on the spot.

They didn't even try to finish them leaving the dying person on the groun to bleed to death.

I couldn't take my eyes of it for some reason, it felt like something i needed to see. It was like a little voice was whispering into my ear to look into his dying eyes, to watch the ember of his soul burn out. To end his existence by my own pure hands.

"I spotted the section master" Quietly informing his team the masked man came down from the tree and started sharpening his knifes.

"What about our target?" The old man asked curiously.

The masked guy didn't even bother to answer as he shook his head.

"Tsk, he probably got killed already" Long black haired girl spoke up from the ground as she sat cross legged seemingly concentrating on something.

"They did mention that the body itself is enough.. so" The old man reassured her only to hear a disgusted snort from a green haired archer.

"I won't be looking through peoples corpses just for some money, my honor wouldn't allow it." He retorted trying to sound grand.

"Just say that you're scared shitless by doing it-" Smack. The archer got smacked on his head by an old lady coming from behind him.

"Honey, please don't start any fights again. We cant have anyone injured right now." Old man spoke towards the lady to which she chuckled lightly and patted the archer a few times on the place he got smacked before.

"Alright, but only because you're so insistent" She replied to him mischeviously.

The entire group has prepared themself to exterminate all tribesmen and their newly appointed section master.

Forest King.

"Haa!" The sound of people killing themself echoed in my eardrums.

Why...

"P-please sto-aAAHH!" The blood splattered on the colorless sand dying it crimson red. Soaking all the lives into it like a sponge.

Why do you... keep killing eachother...

My ears were covered but the screams were still heard. They probably had entire families waiting for them somewhere higher up so why?

Splat. The blood poured out on the ground making circles around the bodies.

Why isn't it like my parents told me.

The numbers now fell down to six people including me when the starting number could be around forty to fifty.

What was it all for?

"Hey" a cold tired voice came from beside me snapping me out of my thoughts. Without noticing anything i already started hyperventilating and sweating all over.

My head slowly looked up to see the same guy who wished me good luck. He looked worn out with cuts all over his body and holding a half broken sword covered in blood.

"Hey, im talking to you." He adressed me again seeming slightly agitated.

"What are you doing, kneeling on the ground like a lost child." His words didn't hurt me at all as he was correct. I was simply watching everything without interfeering, i thought that the people who were killing are bad but. I might be an even worse one by sitting back and watching everything just like..

Just like the tribesmen.

"Heh." It was so sudden that a chuckle escaped my lips accidentaly but i couldn't care less.

"Heh.. hah.. You're right, hahahah" i kept on laughing for some reason, yet i couldn't stop myself.

"I'm.. hehe.. i'm just lost... hahah!" Tears started streaming down my face as i laughed like a maniac making the man uncomfortable.

"Hahah.. Just.." My laughing ceased leaving a smile on my face which made sure the man saw.

"Kill me already." My voice cold and defeated made the man step back slightly.

Everyone was killing everyone and he was no exception. I didn't participate in any of it making me the top priority as i havent gotten tired at all. That would mean the rest would also go for me maybe even as far as teaming up. I didn't want to stain my hands with someones blood. I couldn't bear to kill someone just for my own gain. I knew that i wasnt worth that much, yet..

Slash. "AAAAHH!!!" Dying hurt way too much than i expected.

The man with his impassive eyes looked at me with my severed arm laying on the ground. I was light headed due to the blood loss but i didn't pass out. I didn't want to pass out. I couldn't die.

I wasn't the only one in bad condition, the man was already tired with multiple cuts all over his body and his breath was extremely rugged meaning he wouldn't be able to move as much as me.

"I'm sorry but you wanted this" He spoke to me while raising his sword upwards pointing it straight towards the sky.

"Sorry but, i figured... It kind of hurt" Making out a few words i stood up while holding the stump where my arm was trying to slow down the bleeding which was obviously not working.

"I didn't want to kill a kid anyway." The man said mockingly to me preparing to strike with the sword last time.

"Good luck for real now." With these words. I ran to him at the same time as his sword swung vertically towards my face.

Slash!
