Directive: Regulation and Rules for Archivists

Issued under the authority of the Viasea Intelligent Command (VIC) and binding to all personnel of the Archivist Corps.

Article I – Classification Control

1. Archivists shall enforce all classification protocols without exception.

2. Unauthorized access, reproduction, or disclosure of restricted records constitutes an act of treason.

3. Declassification authority rests solely with the Archivist-General, the Intelligence Council, and the State Seal in joint resolution.

4. Classification Levels are hereby defined as follows:

- Level 0 – Restricted Access

Absolute secrecy. Restricted to the King, General Command Staff, and Archivist-General. Unauthorized access is punishable by immediate execution.

- Level 1 – High Command Access

Senior military command and intelligence directors only. Contains current operations, strategic war plans, and unverified high-value intelligence.

- Level 2 – Strategic Access

Available to upper-level officers and agency leadership. Includes theater-wide assessments, advanced research materials, and diplomatic intelligence.

- Level 3 – Limited Access

Cleared officers, field commanders, and designated technical staff. Operational records, recovered enemy material, and controlled analysis.

- Level 4 – General Access

Non-sensitive intelligence and partially redacted archives. May be referenced for training, propaganda, and restricted circulation.

- Level 5 – Declassified / Public Archive

Approved for public record. Used to preserve memory, strengthen morale, and educate future generations.

5. If sensitive subjects belonging to lower classifications are mentioned within higher classifications, Archivists must mark such material as [REDACTED]. This rule also applies if higher command explicitly orders a subject to be [REDACTED].

Article II – Record Integrity

1. All records shall be preserved in their original form. Alteration, omission, or falsification is prohibited.

2. Damaged or incomplete records must be marked with the standard notation [DATA CORRUPTED].

3. Archivist's Notes may be appended for clarification, but must remain separate and clearly identified.

Article III – Neutrality

1. Archivists shall maintain absolute objectivity.

2. No personal, political, or religious commentary is permitted within archival texts.

3. Records must reflect events as they occurred, without modification to tone or content.

Article IV – Security Discipline

1. All Archivists are bound by the Oath of Silence. Disclosure of classified content beyond secure facilities is punishable by execution.

2. Archives shall be destroyed rather than surrendered to hostile forces.

3. Loyalty and psychological evaluations shall be conducted at regular intervals.

Article V – Duty to State and People

1. Archivists serve the United Empire in preservation of truth, sacrifice, and knowledge.

2. Archives shall ensure that the deeds of the fallen are remembered, that the record of struggle endures and that knowledge is carried forward.

3. In crisis conditions, Archivists are attached to command units for direct documentation.

Article VI – Professional Conduct

1. Archivists shall maintain discipline, discretion, and impartiality in all matters.

2. Private use of archives for memoirs, personal gain, or unsanctioned dissemination is forbidden.

3. Contact with enemy elements, or disclosure of archival methods, is a capital offense.

Article VII – Accountability

1. Each record must carry the Archivist's identification seal.

2. Negligence or misconduct in archival duty shall result in court-martial.

3. Exceptional service will be recognized by inscription upon the Hall of Keepers. And will be awarded the title of "Keeper of History"
