Chapter 1 - Commandments

A Commandment is a universal archetype bestowed by the gods themselves, an absolute law that distorts reality according to the nature of its bearer. Although its essence is immutable, its manifestation depends on the soul that receives it, limiting its scope to the fears, desires, or flaws of the person who embodies it. It is not a gift that can be mastered, but a force that molds the chosen one to reflect a divine will in human form. A Commandment is like any other universal law.

[ Start].

No one is born a monster.

It is forged on the anvil of the everyday, in the rust of a home where the word "father" means burden, not refuge. Jaden was born under the crest of a royal house where gestures of affection were replaced by commands, praise by endless lists of duties, and dreams by the dry echo of "you should do better."

Sometimes he dreamed of running through golden fields with no crown and no name, but he would awaken drenched in sweat, the weight of duty tightening around his neck like an invisible noose.

It was not love that he was taught, but obedience. Not justice, but appearance. He learned that to cry was weakness, to question was insolence, and to desire—oh, to desire—was something only the gods could aspire to.

The people adored him.

Mothers called him a saint. Children imitated his stride. And Jaden, from his still-warm throne, clenched his fists as he watched the kingdom—his kingdom—turn toward that foreigner with the soul of a star. That man, with his clear gaze and serene bearing, was not only virtue made flesh, but also the bearer of one of the most sublime gifts ever revealed upon the earth: the Commandment of the Immortal.

That is what they called him: The Immortal. A divine law inscribed in the unseen, granted by the goddess of Truth and Eternal Light. Under its vigil, the Knight could neither be slain nor defiled. Every wound directed at him was returned in equal measure to the aggressor, as though the universe itself, in its perfect balance, punished injustice with divine reflection.
