Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: The End and the Beginning

The Nairobi sun blazed against the mirrored windows of the hospital tower, casting golden reflections onto the busy streets below. Sarah Grey, at twenty-two, moved with quiet confidence through the corridors of the hospital where she worked. Dressed in her crisp white coat, a stethoscope draped around her neck, she looked every bit the young doctor she had always dreamed of becoming.

Her colleagues admired her brilliance—some openly, others in silence. Few knew the truth: Sarah's journey had not been ordinary. It began years ago, when she was just a struggling schoolgirl in Form Two. Back then, she had been reborn with the Divine System, a mysterious gift that promised daily rewards for persistence. She had used it wisely—excelling in her studies, topping her final year with a coveted A, securing a scholarship to Oxford University, and finally returning to Kenya as a fully trained doctor.

To her family, she was simply the hardworking daughter who had "made it." They didn't know about the hidden wealth, the quiet empire she had built piece by piece—shares in major companies, ownership of apartments and hotels, businesses that she had entrusted to her cousins and best friend. To her parents, she was still their child who sent money home, who made their lives easier, who remained humble despite her success.

Sarah smiled faintly as she stepped out of the hospital gates into the warm evening air. The city was alive—matatus honking, vendors shouting, people weaving through traffic with practiced urgency. She adjusted her bag on her shoulder and hailed a boda boda to take her closer to the bus stop.

It was just another day.

But fate had its own plans.

The boda boda dropped her at the junction, and she began to cross the road. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw a truck racing too fast, its horn blaring, its tires screaming against the asphalt.

Her heart lurched. Time slowed.

For a split second, she remembered everything—her mother's laughter, her father's weathered hands, her siblings Mary and Pascaline, her best friend Beatrce . She haven't made them proud yet.

Then, the truck struck.

Pain shot through her body, sharp and consuming, then suddenly faded into numbness. The world dissolved into darkness.

In the emptiness, a familiar sound returned.

[System initializing…]

Sarah's eyes widened in the void. "No… this voice… after all these years…"

The golden glow surrounded her, warm and steady.

[Host Sarah Grey, you have reached the end of your first cycle. You are granted a second chance. All that you have built shall remain, but you will awaken in a new beginning, with everything you have learned, everything you have earned, and everything you still desire.]

Her breath caught. "A… a second chance?"

[Yes. Rise again, and continue your journey. But remember, conceal your strength. Use wisdom, for power invites danger.]

Sarah closed her eyes as tears slipped down her cheeks. Her life had ended too soon, but maybe… maybe this wasn't the end at all.

The golden cocoon wrapped tighter, pulling her forward.

[Rebirth commencing…]

And with that, Sarah Grey began her second life.
