Liu Erlong snorted, unleashing the full power of her Soul Sage. Her energy extinguished the flames of the two magnificent Hannover white horses.
The horses emitted a dignified whinny, reminiscent of a sheep's sound, showing a rare moment of submission.
The shop owner sighed reverently, "Such power! You truly deserve the title of Soul Sage. If you accept a student, you won't regret it."
Tiandi Empire's administrative divisions comprise ten provinces—five controlled directly by the Tiandi Royal family, along with four kingdoms and one duchy each governing a province.
Fanos Province lies under Tiandi Empire's jurisdiction, adjacent to the Imperial Province.
The Hannover white horses, gifted to Liu Erlong, galloped swiftly, their pace unhindered save for occasional stops to accommodate the precious children.
Soon, the party arrived within Tiandi City's territory.
Seeking a clear spring in the forest, Liu Erlong halted their steeds. Smiling, she said, "We've traveled three hours; soon we arrive at Tiandi City. Let's quench our thirst at the spring."
"Thank you, goddess," said Subei with a smile.
Xiao Wu petted a horse, "Such good horses. Soon, the water will taste fresh like morning dew. I like to drink the pure essence condensed early in the day."
Liu Erlong was content, watching the children and holding a silver cup as cool springwater gently bubbled from the earth.
"Be careful, Xiao Wu," warned Subei gently, aware of the horses' strength.
Xiao Wu replied thoughtfully, "Brother, I think horses are like us—they don't like constraints. They want to return to the spirit world eventually. At Tiandi City, should we let them go?"
Subei smiled lightly, "Tiandi City is human territory. Letting them go would expose them to danger or capture. It's better to raise and protect them."
Xiao Wu nodded in agreement.
Suddenly, the Hannover horse displayed an unexpected surge of power, stamping violently.
They raised their front hoof dangerously close to Subei's face.
Subei's expression shifted; his spirit might not suppress such force yet, but how could he tolerate such insult?
Unleashing the Dragon God's gate, he summoned the spirit beast Chi Kiss, shouting, "Assist me, Chi Kiss!"
"Understood, Lord!"
Chi Kiss, with a dragon's head and fish's body, was restrained only by the level of the spirit ring.
It surrounded Subei with blue electric and thunderous lightning power, augmented by the blood of the Bright Dragon King.
Most spirit beasts dared not raise their heads against him.
The Hannover white horses froze, unable to move.
Xiao Wu whispered fearfully, "Long Wei…!"
Suddenly, the silver cup in Liu Erlong's hand fell, rolling away.
She marveled, "The child already possesses a first-level spirit ability?"
Plans to test and understand Subei and Xiao Wu's spirit power back at Blue Tyrant Academy were forming.
Chi Kiss vanished as Subei recovered spiritual power, while a faint dragon pattern floated nearby.
When the horse realized the child's power, it whimpered and twitched nervously.
Xiao Wu patted the horse thrice, "If you scare us again, I might have you for dinner!"
"Baa?" the horses responded.
She grinned, "Brother, you were amazing."
Liu Erlong regained composure, returning from among the crowd.
She fixed her gaze on Subei, excitement lighting her eyes.
"Your martial spirit is unique. A holy light emanates from it. Tell me seriously, how old are you and Xiao Wu? What is your innate spirit power? Who hunted your first spirit ring?"
