Humans: The most adaptable race in Tara, maybe even beyond; they are the race that mainly dominates the world, if you just go by population, only being beaten out by beasts; maybe that's why they hate them so much.
Even though they are resourceful, they are still considered the weakest race as they lack the natural gifts the other races are born with. But they make up for this with the two things that set them apart: numbers and adaptability.
Elves: The longest naturally living race Tara has to offer, if you don't include immortality, of course, as if you do, three other known races beat them, but who would really count that after all? Isn't it cheating? At least that's what the elves tell themselves.
Elves have three different subtypes: light elves, dark elves, and finally, high elves
Giants: beings of colossal origin who have learned to control their own stature, be that to grow or to shrink.
They are said to have the strongest natural bodies, a fact they take extreme pride in.
Dwarfs: While they are people of short stature, don't let that fool you; the strength and talent they have packed into those small bodies of theirs is nothing short of incredible.
It's like they are made of muscle, and most would believe this to be true if around half of their male population didn't have beer bellies.
Beastborns (Demi-humans): the people most closely related to the wild, they are said to be descendants of beasts who somehow gained human form, and that theory was pushed even more as those of them who are said to be from divine lineages can revert to beastly forms once their core has advanced enough. They are the most diverse race within Tara, along with the beast.
While they were born to live free, perhaps more than any other race, fate has reduced them to caged animals as other races hold their leash, but maybe one day they will be free again.
Vampires: One of the cheats, as the elves call it, and the most hated one at that, vampires are one of the few races who are naturally immortal without having to raise their core stage.
They feed on blood, drinking from their parents until they reach adulthood, and then they will feed on others until they find a partner to drink from. They thrive in darkness and are weakened by the light of the sun.
Spirits: are beings whose bodies are completely made of mana, and because of this, they are the race for which magic comes easiest, as none of them have an affinity lower than strong.
And it is also because of their bodies that they are fundamentally immortal as long as they aren't killed.
Zombies: One of the most mysterious races on Tara, these beings don't feel pain due to their physical bodies, and they are immortal like vampires and spirits until killed.
Their skin is usually a shade of green or blue.
Beasts: wild, animalistic creatures that originated from the land, seas, and sky. To kill, consume, and survive is their way of life;
even those who eventually evolve to a higher form of intelligence never truly give up this way.
Monsters: vile creatures whose only way to prove their existence is through death and destruction; they don't seem to have any form of intelligence, and even if they do, it goes solely towards bringing suffering.
Unlike all other creatures, monsters can't reproduce or increase in strength. The way they are born is the way they stay until they are put to death.
There are others, but to meet them, the pages are the only way.
