"Oh, is that so? Anything you say?"
"Yes, my queen, this humble servant will do anything, so may I know your request, my queen?"
"Well, if you must know, I want you to carry me for the rest of this floor.
Your queen's feet are cold, and as my servant, shouldn't you make sure your queen is always comfortable?"
She said in the most serene tone she could muster, one would think she was actually royalty.
If they couldn't see her face, of course, she wore the widest, most evil smile one can imagine on her beautiful face.
"My Queen, you can't be serious; you want me to carry you in this extremely dangerous environment while fighting the rest of the mana beasts all on my own.
I'm sorry, but are you mad?"
"My, my, that's no way for you to talk to your queen now, is it?
But if you don't want to honor your promise, then I won't force you," she said as she shrugged her shoulders and turned around, walking away from him.
"Fine, I'll do it; just get on."
"I knew my wonderful servant always keeps his promise," she said as she ran and jumped on his back.
All she heard in return was whatever and some inaudible grumbling before he took off running with his bare feet slamming against the cold snow.
Huh, weird. She isn't heavy, and her skin is so soft.
Soon after about five minutes of running across the snow, they encountered some more lesser amoraks.
But this time, instead of having two icicle-like teeth sticking out of their mouths, their claws were covered in sharp ice.
But Azrael didn't even care enough to notice.
He ran right at this new pack of lesser amoraks.
His fist sank into the fur and broke the bones of the first lesser amorak he passed.
The wolf yelped as it was sent flying into others of its kind, landing on two others.
All while Azrael was cutting through the others with his claws like paper.
His movements were more beast-like than even the beasts he was fighting.
As he tore through them all while carrying Olivia on his back, she could see the savage smile widening on his face as the blood from the amoraks spilled on the floor.
Getting absorbed by the snow.
As he finished off the last of them and started running again, he finally remembered something.
"Hey liv?"
"Yeah"
That sword you used, what is it?
"To be honest, I don't know; I've had it since I was born, always in my shadow."
And the only reason I can even pull it out is that I have a darkness affinity.
What the hell is a darkness affinity?
How do you not know what an affinity is?
No, my brother and I were always on the run and never had anyone to teach us anything, not after we turned 10.
"Well, that's not completely true; we did have our mom, but she just went on and on about how great she was."
You have a brother?
Yeah, a twin actually, although he keeps on saying he's older than me.
A quiet chuckle left her full pink lips as she said, He sounds like a fun person.
"Yeah, he is," he said, listening to her laugh.
So anyway, what's an affinity?
Oh yeah well I guess, an affinity is the innate bond between a person's soul and a specific magical element or force.
It determines how easily they can manipulate and control that type of magic.
Almost everyone is born with at least one affinity, though most have only one or two.
It is like a natural language your soul speaks.
You can try to use other languages (elements), but the results will be clumsy, unstable, or outright fail without training.
Although elements can be learned, but without an affinity:
There is a 70% failure rate, even with constant effort.
You must be taught by someone who has that affinity you cannot self-learn.
You cannot create new spells with that element. You are limited to repeating what you're taught.
Spells are slower, weaker, and cost more mana to cast.
But if someone has an affinity for an element:
They can use spells instinctively. Even without a teacher, they can figure out spells on their own over time.
They learn faster and cast easier.
They can create new spells, something only affinity-holders can do.
Advanced affinity users can cast magic:
Silently, without verbal incantation.
Their magic becomes stronger, more efficient, and resonates with their emotions.
Most times Bloodlines often determine affinity. Strong magical families pass their elemental alignments down.
Although personality and emotion also play a role.
(A calm soul might lean toward water; a destructive one might lean toward fire.)
Some people gain or change affinities after traumatic events or awakening special classes.
Affinities Mainly go from C tier to S tier. The rarer the affinity, the harder it is to learn or imitate without affinity.
Hybrid affinities can also form (e.g., Magma = Fire + Earth, Storm = Air + Lightning), but only with the right conditions or bloodlines.
Oh so what are your affinities?
Well I have 4 affinities: darkness, fire and poison.
"Do you not know how to count your majesty? That's 3."
Who do you think you are, of course I know how to count.
I just don't feel like telling you the 4th right now.
I would ask you what yours are but obviously you wouldn't even know.
Oh hold on let me check.
What are you even talking about let me check you can't just check without an elemental stone… are you even listening to me ?
He was not.

"Oh look at that I have four affinities too"
"Pfft no you don't, do you even know how rare it is for someone to have two affinities and you're telling me you have four."
"Look just because am a ultra talented genius doesn't mean you have to lie."
I would still see you the same even if you only have one, even though you would be below me but so is everyone else so it's not really a problem.
And you don't even have an elemental stone to test it so how would you even know that?
As she went on and on they finally came across some more mana beasts but instead of going at them head on like last time, Azrael decided to test something out.
He stretched out his hands as he tried to force despite Olivia still praising herself on his back.
He tried to press down on the wolves and after a couple minutes he finally noticed something his mana was moving and the wolves were moving slower if at all.
And before he could get tired he went for the kill immediately butchering them all with his claws.
When he was done he heard
ddd..did you just use gravity affinity to make gravity heavier around the wolves so they move slower and did you just do it without saying anything.
"Yeah I guess I did"
