Synopsis
They called it a gift. Every cut, every burn, every bullet through his skull—Murkoff promised it was all for his own good. They said the pain would make him stronger. They said the endless torment was the price of perfection. He knows better. His body always healed. Skin knitted back together, bones reset, nerves reformed. Not a scar left behind. The agony, however, never vanished. He felt every incision, every broken rib, every time they ripped him apart to see how far his body could go before it gave in. It never did. And the scientists praised him for it—their miracle, their monster, their perfect soldier. They named him Elias Veil, though in their files he was never a man, only Project Red Veil. To Murkoff, he was proof that immortality could be manufactured. To Elias, it was nothing but chains that would never break. He remembers all of it. The screams of the other subjects who didn’t survive. The laughter of doctors who called his survival a success. The needles, the knives, the “gifts” that came in blood and steel. A gift. Yeah, right. A gift is something you can return. Now the halls of Mount Massive tremble with his rage. Scientists hide in locked offices, guards vanish into the dark, and inmates whisper his name as if he were a ghost of vengeance. Elias Veil is no ghost. He is rage made flesh, pain given form, and the only thing keeping him alive is the one thing Murkoff will never control—his fury.

Chapter 1 - BIO - Rage Made Flesh

Subject File: Project Red Veil

Real Name: Elias Veil

Designation: Project Red Veil

Status: Containment Breach – Active Threat

Overview

Elias Veil is the first and only subject of Murkoff's Red Veil Initiative, a project designed to create the "perfect soldier." Through extensive genetic rewriting, regenerative serums, and neural conditioning, Veil has achieved what Murkoff defines as "absolute restoration." His body rejects death itself—destroyed tissue regenerates instantly, bones reassemble seamlessly, and even the most fatal injuries disappear as though they never occurred.

Unlike the Wallrider host program, Project Red Veil produced a subject free of deformity or corruption. Elias's body is unmarked, unmarred—his appearance almost unnaturally flawless. His face, youthful and untouched, stands in cruel contrast to the torture he has endured.

Abilities

Instantaneous Regeneration: Any injury, no matter how catastrophic, is erased within seconds. Gunshot wounds vanish before the bullet casing hits the ground. Decapitation or organ destruction results in near-immediate restoration. His cells are locked in a state of perpetual renewal.

Ageless Physiology: Subject exhibits no signs of aging or degradation, suggesting Murkoff's procedures effectively halted cellular decay.

Enhanced Physique: In addition to his healing, Elias demonstrates increased speed, strength, and reflexes beyond standard human limits—likely a byproduct of Murkoff's "optimization protocols."

Mental Resilience: Unlike most subjects, Elias's mind remains intact. No psychosis, no dementia, no fragmentation. The truth is darker—he insists his sanity survives not because he is stable, but because he is consumed entirely by rage. Rage leaves no room for madness.

Psychological Profile

Elias is acutely aware of what was done to him. He recalls every experiment, every cut, every scream. His memory is not dulled by trauma—if anything, it is sharpened. Murkoff labeled him a "success," but Elias calls himself a prisoner of his own body.

Despite his flawless physical form, Elias carries invisible scars:

Anger: His only anchor. It fuels him, sustains him, prevents his mind from breaking under endless torment.

Isolation: Other inmates target him, drawn to his unscarred face, his "perfection." In their madness, many see him as a vessel to defile, a reminder of what they lost. This has made Elias both predator and prey within Mount Massive.

Hatred: Toward Murkoff, toward the doctors, toward anyone who dares call his condition a gift. He knows his healing will never allow him peace. Pain will always return. His body will always heal. And he will never be free.

Appearance

Elias Veil is the cruel mirror of Murkoff's achievement:

A flawless, unmarred face with piercing, intelligent eyes.

A physique honed and unscarred, a body that resets itself to perfection no matter how much it is broken.

And yet, within those perfect features lies nothing but fury—a man whose beauty is a mockery of the torment beneath.

Assessment:Elias Veil is Murkoff's greatest triumph and its deadliest mistake. A weapon with no weakness, no scars, and no reason to stop. He cannot be broken, cannot be killed. And in his own words:

"You can't call it a gift if it never ends."
