Chapter 81 - Chapter 81: The Mass Werewolf Incident

This big pink bird was clearly a traitor among the fire dragons.

During its high-speed flight, a large amount of fresh water began to condense around its entire body, making it look as if it were flying wrapped in a large ball of water.

Wherever it passed, water droplets fell, as if a heavy rain had just poured down.

The big bird had a strange force field around it, and Anton felt himself pressed against its back by a force that wasn't particularly strong, preventing him from falling off no matter how it flew.

Even when the big bird joyfully did a 360-degree spin.

It flew at an extremely high speed, flipping, circling, diving, and climbing.

I have to say, the feeling of high-speed flight was, for some reason, a bit exhilarating.

"Woohoo~"

Anton stretched out his arms, letting himself feel the unprecedented sensation of speeding through the air.

It flew straight up, and for the first time, the full panorama of Hogwarts Castle leaped into view.

The big bird circled the castle, and Anton even saw Dumbledore's astonished gaze through a huge window.

He also saw Professor McGonagall and Snape in hot pursuit on their broomsticks, but clearly, the big bird was much faster.

The big bird sped along, bringing with it strong winds and a torrential downpour. Anton also saw Professor Quirrell emerge from the edge of the Forbidden Forest, with a giant troll bound by ropes floating behind him.

He also saw...

"???"

He saw his own 'Weasley Shack'. Goyle, that idiot, and an upper-year student were guarding the door, while several 'Antons' who looked exactly like him were carrying several large glass jars full of candy out of the wide-open door.

"Damn it! Polyjuice Potion!"

"They actually found this loophole?"

Draco has really improved, huh, daring to steal his things?

Behind the trees not far away, Harry, Ron, and Hermione were holding their wands, about to rush out.

But they all clearly saw the pink-feathered dragon in the sky, and Anton riding on its back.

Everyone stared at him with their mouths wide open as he sped past.

Just as Anton was about to try and command this dragon, he saw it suddenly dive headfirst into the great lake next to Hogwarts Castle.

Boom!

It sent up a splash more than ten meters high.

A huge impact hit him, and Anton felt as if all the bones in his body were about to shatter.

Then, he was carried through the water currents. Water from all directions flooded into his nose and mouth, glug, glug, glug...

I, glug, glug...

Damn, glug, glug...

The big bird clearly enjoyed swimming in the lake. It circled frantically and would sometimes happily leap out of the water.

Until Anton suddenly felt a powerful wave of magic. The moment the big bird leaped out of the water, poof, it turned back into that palm-sized, chubby furball.

As for him, he already felt like he was at his limit, only able to watch helplessly as he was thrown towards the lake's surface.

"!!!"

"Arresto Momentum!" a spell came quickly.

In his daze, Anton saw Snape's expressionless face and a strong arm forcefully pulling him in.

He only had time to smile before he passed out.

...

...

When he woke up again, he was in Madam Pomfrey's hospital wing.

His entire body was wrapped in a large number of bandages, making him look like a mummy.

"You're awake, child." Madam Pomfrey's gaze was gentle as she held a cup of potion that didn't look very tasty. "Drink this, you'll feel a bit better."

"Thank you." Anton's voice trembled as he spoke.

"It must hurt a lot, right? All the bones in your body are fractured." Madam Pomfrey complained with great dissatisfaction, "Professor Snape is so irresponsible, letting you stay with a fire dragon."

"But it's a good thing it's just a small injury. You can be discharged in a few days, just in time for Halloween."

I don't like celebrating such a boring holiday.

But he still grinned.

After downing the potion, he felt as if he had been placed in a large furnace. His whole body was hot and itchy, and he could almost feel his bones softening and slowly knitting back together.

The first to visit him were the twin brothers. They were extremely interested in the big, fire-dragon-like bird Anton had ridden. Unfortunately, Anton couldn't speak under the effects of the potion and could only watch the two brothers talk excitedly amongst themselves.

The next to visit was Draco. The cool guy explained that taking things without asking was a last resort. Everyone was curious about his 'Snake-Transformation Candy', and he did it to solidify his position as the student leader.

"Everyone has their Galleons ready. We'll give them to you after you're discharged."

Very good, just wait and see how I'll rip you all off then.

"Tonight will be very interesting. We plan to have a snake-transformation party, and everyone will turn into snakes together."

Oh, so you've moved on from the shadow of the big snake?

Not long after Draco left, Harry, Ron, and Hermione also came to visit him.

"Malfoy is planning to do something evil. We won't let him succeed."

Very good, full of spirit.

More people wanted to come in later, but they were all blocked at the door by Madam Pomfrey. "He needs to rest!"

Anton drifted off into a daze.

He would sleep, wake up, be groggy for a while, and then fall asleep again.

Being hospitalized didn't feel good, but it seemed to give him a chance to get a good night's sleep.

In the short two-plus years since he had transmigrated, he had always been busy, with few opportunities to truly sleep well.

He yearned for magic and feared his lack of strength, so he always packed his schedule to the brim.

Mastering knowledge bit by bit, that feeling was wonderful.

Growing stronger little by little was also wonderful.

But being unable to do anything like this, just sleeping all day, seemed pretty good too.

In the evening, Madam Pomfrey had him drink a bowl of porridge, and not long after, another large cup of potion.

This continued until late at night, when the castle suddenly became noisy and brightly lit.

"What happened?"

"Did old Voldy just explode on the spot?"

Anton struggled to turn his head. Outside the window, there were only empty treetops.

Someone came to knock on the door, then Madam Pomfrey let out a cry of alarm and hurriedly left with them.

Not long after, Dumbledore arrived.

His long silver hair and beard could be tucked into his belt. He wore loose purple wizard robes, and behind his half-moon spectacles, his azure eyes held an inquisitive and curious gaze.

A piece of candy was held between his fingers.

"Child, what is this?"

Anton shook his somewhat groggy head, tried his best to see, and his eyes suddenly widened.

"Werewolf Experience Candy?!!!"

"Holy crap!"

"This thing's technology isn't mature yet. I clearly put it in the very back. Draco took these?"

Dumbledore smiled, looking at the candy in his hand with great interest. "A very interesting potion. I just took a nap, and dozens of students all turned into werewolves overnight."

"Fortunately, it's only a temporary transformation. If they had been infected with lycanthropy, I, as the headmaster, could have resigned in disgrace tonight."
