Chapter 62 - Chapter 62: The Magical Chocolate Frogs

Anton and Ron were clearly a bit late, as every compartment here was full, and they had to walk deeper down the narrow corridor.

"Oh my god, Anton, come quick, look who I ran into!" Fred popped out from somewhere, grabbing Anton with a mysterious look on his face, speaking excitedly.

"George, I'm your brother!" Ron said angrily, pouting.

The other twin, George, also ran over, "Exactly, George, how could you ignore your brother?"

Fred shrugged, "Alright, brother, hello."

Then he turned back to Anton and whispered, "We met the boy from the legends, Harry Potter, he showed us the lightning scar in his hair, it was absolutely amazing!"

"He's in the very last compartment, go take a look, he's sitting all by himself." Fred rubbed his hands together as if he were very busy, "Of course, we can't take you to see him, Lee Jordan got a giant tarantula, we have to go join the fun."

George put a hand on Fred's shoulder, "Right, I think that furry little creature will definitely come in handy."

Then the two happy kids disappeared like the wind again.

Ron stared at their retreating backs with wide eyes.

Anton chuckled, "Don't mind them, let's go, the train is about to leave, we need to find seats quickly."

The train was filled with sounds of frolicking, the rule against using magic during the holidays had left the young wizards pent up, waving their wands and casting all sorts of spells, while the first-years watched from the side, both excited and fearful.

A witch sat in a corner, a small trolley full of snacks beside her, obviously waiting to sell them around once the train departed, but it was already surrounded by people.

A young wizard opened a box of Chocolate Frogs, and the chocolate frog leaped out of the box, jumping onto the train's handrail amidst everyone's gasps.

But it clearly didn't get a good grip, struggled on the railing for a moment, left a smear of chocolate, and fell.

"Simply magical!" Anton's eyes lit up.

He knew about this snack, and even about Dumbledore's favorite Cockroach Clusters, but only after seeing it for real did he discover the charm of this kind of treat.

Anton's favorite magic was the 'moving figurines' he learned from the goblins, but that relied on his own will to present the movements.

But this Chocolate Frog didn't even need a wizard to maintain the spell!

It didn't even need a drive core like an embedded power stone, it could move freely like a real frog just by the power of the spell!

"There are too many people here, maybe we should find our seats first." Ron tried hard to put on a nonchalant expression, which made him feel a tiny bit of victory over this seemingly outstanding cousin.

"No, I must buy one right now!" Anton's eyes lit up as he watched a young wizard eat a Chocolate Frog in one bite.

He handed the fried chicken nuggets and drink that Lupin had prepared for him to Ron, then tapped both their trunks with his wand, making them float behind Ron.

"Ron, I can't wait." Anton rubbed his hands together, "Can you go find seats by yourself first? I'll leave the trunks in your care, these snacks are for you."

The steaming hot fried chicken nuggets wafted a fragrant aroma, and Ron swallowed, "Alright, come find me later."

"Okay." Anton excitedly squeezed into the crowd too.

Ron could only walk towards the back of the train by himself.

Apparently, he still couldn't find an empty seat, and in the end, he could only go to the very last compartment, asked a question at the door, and walked in with some excitement.

"Harry Potter..." Anton, who was staring at Ron's back, pursed his lips.

He had no interest in Harry Potter, the protagonist of the novel, and was even a little afraid.

Having finally obtained a stable life, he had no interest in joining this little boy in all sorts of death-defying acts and facing Voldemort.

Re-examining the content of the novel with his two years of experience in the wizarding world, he could only say that Harry Potter had plot armor, and in many situations, an ordinary person would have died long ago.

He was just here to study and learn, not to risk his life.

Stay away from Harry Potter.

The wizarding world had far too many exciting things, it was still wonderful enough without Harry Potter.

"Give me ten Chocolate Frogs!" Having finally squeezed in, Anton smiled brightly.

If he could figure out the technique on this, could the 'moving figurines' magic trick be upgraded?

He was looking forward to it.

Woooo~~~

He casually found a spot by the railing and looked outside.

The train slowly pulled out of London, and fields of cattle and sheep, vast grasslands, and European-style cottages with pointed roofs flashed past his eyes one by one.

Countless ripples undulated, as if he were wearing a magical magnifying glass in front of his eyes, Anton's pupils dilated to their maximum, starlight shimmering within them.

The 'Goblin Eyes' secret art.

He took out the small vial he carried with him and took a small sip, this was the 'Wizard's Eye' potion.

With this two-pronged approach, Anton finally saw the wizard's will attached to the Chocolate Frogs.

It was as if some very happy magical creature was humming a song and lightly tapped on the chocolate pot, and countless Chocolate Frogs jumped out.

This was not a human wizard's spell.

Nor was it goblin magic.

It was very unfamiliar, but Anton could boldly guess that this was a natural magic inherent to some kind of magical creature, which might not have originally been used on chocolate.

Spells from different principles and schools, he couldn't figure this thing out for now, but he habitually memorized the magical image on it.

Suddenly, an idea struck him, and the Chocolate Frogs all jumped into his hand.

One stacked on top of another, they quickly melted and fused into a super-sized Chocolate Frog.

Hmm, it looked a bit like a toad.

Although he couldn't learn this magic for the time being, Anton still gave it a push based on its magical properties, causing these Chocolate Frogs to merge into one.

Just as he was about to try more experiments, the sound of hurried footsteps approached.

"Excuse me, have you seen Neville's... Oh my god, I found it, it's in your hand!"

Anton looked up and saw a little girl with bushy hair and large front teeth, looking like a cute coypu.

"No, you're mistaken, this is mine."

"You!"

Anton abruptly stuffed the entire toad into his mouth, leaving only one hind leg kicking frantically beside his mouth.

He raised an eyebrow at Miss Coypu and took a sharp bite.

The toad's hind leg fell off, twitching on the ground.

Anton's eyes lit up, he chewed vigorously, the rich chocolate aroma rushing straight to his brain, and he gave a thumbs-up.

Nice!

Miss Coypu's eyes widened and she recoiled, her eyes full of terror.

As Hermione let out a scream and fled in a panic as if she had seen something terrifying, Anton let out a wicked cackle.

That's right, no matter what the protagonists were like, they were ultimately just children, and the original book was just a fairy tale.

At least his mood about entering Hogwarts had become much more pleasant.

The Chocolate Frogs tasted amazing.

It wasn't that he hadn't eaten chocolate in his past life, but he had never tasted such a rich chocolate flavor, it was like the glowing dishes from "Cooking Master Boy."

Over the past year, although he had gone through many hardships, Anton's palate had always been well-catered for.

In the beginning, when he was with the old wizard, although they could only make noodles and steamed buns from wheat flour, it was still wheat flour from the wizarding world, with a natural and uniquely rich wheat aroma, the taste was actually quite good.

Later, living at the Leaky Cauldron, old Tom would come up with all sorts of delicious food to supplement his nutrition.

And later when he went to France, with a bit of money, he never mistreated his stomach.

After buying a house, they signed a long-term meal delivery agreement with a Chinese restaurant.

Later on, when Miss Ilsa moved in, they entered a life of alternating between French grand cuisine and Chinese food.

All in all, although he had been wandering around Britain and its vicinity, he never had the chance to take a bite of the legendary dark cuisine.

Before long, an announcement came over the train's speakers.

—Will all young wizards please change into your school robes, we will be arriving at Hogwarts in ten minutes, please leave your luggage on the train, we will have it sent to the school for you.
