Chapter 24 - Chapter 24 Butterfly Wings

People who have not experienced the era of Voldemort's rampage cannot imagine the fear of being killed by Death Eaters who suddenly burst into the house at any time.

It is a fear that the family is in danger of death at any time, and that the kind old man and the naughty children in the family may die in front of you at any time.

Not to mention the name Voldemort, even the three words "Your Majesty" have become an indelible scar in the hearts of many people.

And this spirited young man actually planned to use the name of the You-Know-Who as a gimmick.

  He is simply courting death!

This angered the public, and some people even smashed their wine glasses on him.

The wizard in the golden leather jacket jumped onto the round platform and punched the spirited young man hard on the head, knocking him to the ground. Then, waving his wand and casting the Shield Charm, he shouted, "Everyone, everyone, I apologize on his behalf. Please be patient."

"Someone will present you with a small gift in a moment as compensation."

"This exquisite round table event is cancelled."

This wizard was clearly quite famous, and although everyone was still complaining, they gave him a favor and stood up to leave.

At this moment, Snape stepped forward.

"Tucker, I don't have that much free time. You wrote to me about the good stuff, so I came here."

The leather-jacketed wizard apologized again. "Mr. Doe, I'm sorry."

Snape shook his head. "No, I just wanted the round table event to go on. I wanted to see what he had to sell."

At Snape's words, the people around him paused, and one of the bearded, burly men nodded in agreement. "Right, it can't be in vain."

Finally, the exquisite round table event continued.

Anton glanced at Snape and chuckled softly.

Mr. Doe? What an interesting nickname.

He finally understood why he had run into Snape. Perhaps it was the 'You-Know-Who' gimmick that had drawn him here.

The wizard in the golden leather jacket twisted the collar of the spirited young man, Peter, and lifted him off the ground. He whispered something in a furious tone, and Peter nodded fearfully.

Then, Peter stood in the center of the stage again.

"Well, there was a little accident just now." His words, combined with the large black bruises on his eyes, looked quite comical, and many people laughed out loud.

"Albania, I went here two months ago. I was afraid of being hunted by a powerful dark wizard, so I had no choice but to come here."

Peter spoke with great emotion, and seemed to shudder at the memory.

  Everyone laughed again.

"Everyone knows this place is so desolate it feels like the edge of the world," Pete said, growing more animated. "But when I got there, I discovered that besides the forest, there are hundreds of thousands of bunkers."

The bearded man exclaimed, "So many? Impossible! I know Albania; it's incredibly poor there."

Pete shrugged. "I'm not sure, who cares?"

"I didn't find anything there..." Pete, met with the golden leather jacket's fierce gaze, swallowed the last few words in fear.

  "But I found this!"

He walked over to the iron cage and pulled back the black cloth.

Inside was a massive python, a full twelve feet long (3.6 meters). It looked like a viper, its body covered in sinister black and brown markings.

But it was clear that, despite its size, the viper wasn't in great condition.

Its body was covered in wounds, its scales had fallen off in large pieces, and in some places, its bright red flesh was exposed.

"That's it?" the bearded man roared. "You're wasting my time!"

"Don't worry. This is a truly amazing snake, no ordinary one." Peter smiled mysteriously and pulled his wand from his robes.

He glanced at the wizard in the golden leather jacket. "May I cast a spell?"

After receiving approval, he looked at everyone with an exaggerated expression. "Now, keep your eyes open, because the transformation will take only a moment."

With that, he waved his wand. "Shatter to pieces!"

The spell's light pierced through the iron cage and struck the viper.

The viper screamed and twisted, and in a moment, the triangular snake's head suddenly transformed into that of an oriental woman, with long black hair flowing.

But in a split second, the transformation disappeared, as if it were just an ordinary snake.

Anton tightened his grip on the tree trunk.

  "Fuck!

Isn't this Nagini?" She first appeared in "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them," following a descendant of Dumbledore, who later accompanied Newt and the others to Hogwarts to find Dumbledore.

Later, the snake became Voldemort's favorite pet, then was transformed into a Horcrux.

Finally, Neville wielded the sword of Gryffindor and beheaded it.

Anton didn't know the details of the intervening events, and wasn't sure if they were mentioned in the books, but Peter clearly stated that it was found in Albania.

Anton knew Voldemort was hiding there now!

  Which meant...

He stared blankly at Peter, who looked rather smug on the stage.

"I let him go, or he would have died. Because he didn't die, the damned Voldemort never met his pet?" "

So Voldemort missed out on Nagini now?

" "Oh my god," Anton muttered unconsciously. "I changed history? Butterfly wings?"

This wasn't an insignificant character; Nagini played many crucial roles in the Harry Potter story.

She was one of Voldemort's seven Horcruxes.

  And she also killed Snape.

Thinking of this, Anton glanced sideways. Sure enough, Snape looked interested and held up a sign.

"Excellent," said a wizard in a golden leather jacket, presiding over the auction. "This gentleman has bid. Anyone else?"

Peter, standing nearby, rubbed his hands together in excitement, looking at the most enthusiastic bearded man.

The man threw up his hands, indicating he wasn't interested. "Her head is quite exotic, but I don't want to put my treasure in a snake's mouth. That's disgusting."

Laughter rang out from the surroundings.

A wizard who was about to bid had almost raised his card when, upon hearing this, he quickly lowered it and turned to explain to his female companion.

The bearded man's words were a perfect finishing move, completely losing interest among several people who had been tempted to bid.

Peter's face darkened, and he looked like he wanted to slap himself in the face.

"No one bids anymore?" the wizard in the leather jacket asked three times, then shouted, "Congratulations, Mr. Doe, you've won this exquisite Round Table auction."

Two staff members came up, lifted the iron cage, and stuffed it into a suitcase with a traceless extension charm.

  The crowd dispersed.

Anton glanced at Snape one last time and followed him out.

After wandering around the hall, he actually found someone selling Muggle currency. Unfortunately, there were no francs, only pounds.

The pound was a real currency with a gold content of 2.13281 grams. Just based on the gold price per gram, one pound was not a small amount.

Anton remembered from a Sherlock Holmes story that Holmes believed a single woman could live comfortably on an annual income of 60 pounds.

This figure was somewhat reliable. He exchanged 100 pounds.

At Gringotts, he would need 20 gold galleons to get that amount, but on this so-called black market, it only cost 9 gold galleons.

The Ministry of Magic strictly restricted communication between wizards and the Muggle world, and it was clear that the Dark wizards weren't as unbridled as Anton had imagined.

Wizards rarely used Muggle currency, and the reason it was so cheap was, "It's a hassle to extract the gold from it."

  Anton nodded seriously. "Sparrow food."

How idiotic would one have to be to think of extracting gold from metal currency? Wouldn't it be better to just go to a gold shop and buy it?

After exchanging the money he needed, Anton didn't spend much time here. The old wizard had told him that the relaxed atmosphere of some gathering places can make people forget the hidden dangers, and this is often the most dangerous.

  Anton left immediately.

But before he could reach the place where the broomstick was hidden, a spell struck him.

  "Expelliarmus!"

The old wand flew out of his hand.

Anton calmly turned around, his left hand quietly pulling out the spare wand hidden in the buckle of his wide wizard robes. It was the old wizard's wand.

Seeing who was coming, Anton raised an eyebrow.

  Snape!
