Chapter 20 - Episode 20 :- THE FINAL DAWN

The storm outside the academy raged with relentless fury, as though the world itself mirrored the chaos within its walls. Thunder split the sky, lightning illuminating the shattered windows and blood-stained floors of the once proud structure. Hikaru stood at the center of the great hall, chest heaving, his blade lowered but his heart pounding. The silence that followed the battle was deafening—until the mysterious girl stepped forward, her crimson eyes glowing faintly in the dim light.

"You deserve the truth," she said, her voice carrying both sorrow and resolve. "About me… about Reo… about all of this."

Miyuki, bruised but determined, tightened her grip on her weapon. Kaito stood by her side, protective as ever, his eyes never leaving the girl. Hikaru raised his head, his gaze steady.

"Then speak," he said. "No more riddles. No more illusions. End this once and for all."

The girl's cloak fell, revealing her face fully for the first time. Pale, fragile, but breathtakingly familiar. Hikaru's breath caught in his throat.

"...You…" he whispered.

"Yes," she nodded, tears welling in her eyes. "I am Hana."

Miyuki froze. The name struck her like a dagger. Kaito looked bewildered, while Hikaru's entire body trembled.

"Hana… my sister," Hikaru said, his voice breaking.

Gasps filled the hall. Miyuki's eyes widened, her heart racing. She had known Hikaru carried grief, but she never knew it was this deep, this personal.

"You… died… years ago," Hikaru whispered, tears finally streaming down his face.

"I didn't die," Hana said softly, her gaze dropping. "I was taken. By him."

The shadows shifted, and from the darkened archway, Reo emerged. His presence was commanding, his aura suffocating, yet his expression held no malice—only a cold emptiness.

"I saved her," Reo said, his voice low. "Or so I thought. I turned her into what she is now. She was never meant to suffer this fate… but neither were any of you."

Hikaru's blade rose instantly, fury igniting in his heart. "You destroyed everything! You turned my sister into a weapon, into this—this cursed existence!"

Hana raised her hand, trembling. "No, Hikaru… don't blame him alone. I chose to follow him. I was weak, lost… and he offered me power. Power to protect you. To protect us."

Her confession tore through Hikaru's soul. He staggered, unable to process the weight of it. Miyuki reached out, steadying him with her hand. Her touch was firm, grounding him in the storm of emotions. Their eyes met, and in that moment, Hikaru saw it—the unwavering love, the quiet strength that had always been there.

Miyuki whispered, "You don't have to carry this alone anymore."

Kaito stepped forward, his voice clear. "Then what's the truth, Reo? Why this academy? Why us?"

Reo's eyes darkened, but for the first time, his tone softened. "This academy was never just a school. It was an experiment. A place where chosen ones were gathered, tested, and broken to awaken the fragments of an ancient power. The power of Eclipse."

The word echoed like a curse in the air. Hana's body shivered as though the very sound of it burned her.

"The Eclipse," Hana explained, "is a force that predates humanity itself. The balance between light and shadow. Reo sought to control it… but in truth, none of us ever truly could. That's why everything happened—the deaths, the illusions, the endless cycle of pain."

Miyuki's eyes narrowed. "And now? What happens now?"

Reo closed his eyes, almost weary. "Now, the cycle ends. Whether in light… or in destruction. That choice belongs to you."

The floor beneath them shook violently, cracks splitting the stone. The very heart of the academy was unraveling, the power of Eclipse surging uncontrollably. Hana screamed, clutching her chest as shadows poured from her body. Hikaru darted forward, catching her before she collapsed.

"Hana!" he cried, desperate.

Her voice was faint, fragile. "Brother… the power inside me… it's too much. If it isn't sealed tonight, it will consume everything."

Miyuki's heart pounded. She looked at Hikaru, then at Hana, then finally at Reo. "How do we stop it?"

Reo's gaze fell on Hikaru. "Only you can. Because the other half of the Eclipse… has always been within you."

The revelation froze the air. Hikaru staggered back, disbelief flooding him. "What… what are you saying?"

Reo's voice was steady. "You and Hana are the two halves. Light and Shadow. If you unite… the cycle ends. But if you fail… the world ends with you."

Silence gripped the hall, broken only by the rumbling earth. Hikaru's hands trembled, his mind racing. But then—Miyuki stepped closer, placing her hand on his cheek.

"Hikaru," she said softly, her eyes shining with both love and determination. "You're not alone. I'll be with you… no matter what."

Her words steadied him, filled him with strength he thought he had lost. Kaito moved beside Miyuki, firm and unyielding. "And I'll protect both of you. Till the end."

Hikaru looked at them—the family he had found, the love he had cherished, the bonds forged in fire. Slowly, he turned to Hana, his sister, tears streaming down both their faces.

"Then let's finish this," Hikaru whispered.

Together, Hikaru and Hana raised their hands, light and shadow spiraling between them. The Eclipse roared, a storm of unimaginable force, threatening to tear the world apart. Reo watched in silence, his expression unreadable, but a single tear fell down his cheek as the siblings' power intertwined.

With a deafening cry, Hikaru and Hana unleashed their combined strength. Light and shadow collided, then merged, then finally dissolved into radiant dawn.

When the dust settled, the academy was gone. Only ruins remained. Hana lay in Hikaru's arms, her body weak, but alive.

"It's over," she whispered, smiling faintly.

Hikaru sobbed, holding her close. Miyuki knelt beside him, her hand finding his. "Yes… it's finally over."

Reo stood at the edge of the ruins, his figure fading into the morning mist. "Perhaps now… there is peace." And with that, he vanished.

The survivors stood beneath the rising sun. Broken, but free. Scarred, but alive.

And as Hikaru turned to Miyuki, their eyes met in the golden light. No words were needed. She leaned in, and their lips finally met—gentle, trembling, but filled with every unsaid word, every unspoken promise.

The dawn had come.

And the story of the cursed academy… was finally complete.
