Chapter 1 - Chapter 0: My requiem.

I have gone by many names since I was shaped, bent, and created into this dreadful reality.

Some hailed me as a mighty, unbeatable warrior whose light shone brighter than all the quasars in the multiverse.

Others feared me as a man who slew without the concept of mercy in my dictionary, slowly being caressed by the agents of darkness.

And now finally I've a new identity. A warlock whose proficiency in magik and the manipulation of one's soul shows no limit and knows no bounds.

Oh, so many names: the paladin of purity, child of the forgotten, knight of the shadowy void, Arch mage of the Vondel house. Names I have come to accept.

Oh, so many titles: he who dilutes the darkness, the all-consuming light vanquisher, the monarch of ungodly wizardry. I have to admit, some of these are quite interesting.

Oh, so many stories. Stories of battles between luminous seraphim of light and grand heralds of darkness, stories of a mage whose very existence turned the basic understanding of the world upside down.

Oh, so many murals of greatness that I never asked for but got regardless of my will.

I have grown bored of all this.

Here I am, at the border of two realms, holding them together with the fullest and truest intensity of my magik. If memory serves me well, I was about to ascend to the higher realm, was I not? Just one more day. One more F*cking day, and I would have been a step closer to discovering who I truly am. What I truly am.

I wonder how I made it all the way here. Perhaps I should reminisce a little on all that I remember. Perhaps those memories would comfort me in what may very well be my last chance, to help think before I possibly lose it all to the wrathful pestilence that holds half of my destiny.

The cusp between realms is oddly comforting, contrary to popular belief. Perfect to ponder and evoke my memories.

All ye gods who are watching me. Listen to my odd story and revel in the solace of my misery. I went against your will once again and have been caught again as well.

But keep my words in thy mind. If. No. When I escape from this. I shall have all your heads.

I slumber now, but shall return to hunt tomorrow.

Enjoy my dreams. For when I arise? I shall show you the eternity of shadows and light.

He who knocks shall not protect you from me.
