Boom!
In an instant—
The power of the Mangekyō Sharingan erupted, sweeping across everything.
Bodies began to rupture on their own, flesh and bone splitting apart as though reality itself was tearing them down.
The branch house endured through sheer toughness. Their skin split, organs trembled, bones cracked—but they still held on. Their chakra reserves were strong, and with their Gentle Fist mastery, their resilience slowed the destruction.
The main house, however…
They had no such luck.
Generations of leaning on the Caged Bird Curse Seal had left them weak and complacent. Once, they could simply throw the branch family in harm's way. But now?
Now there was no one to shield them.
The Mangekyō left no time to run. No chance to fight back.
Even the cursed seal wouldn't activate—its power was crushed before it could stir.
And so—
Main house flesh split apart. Organs burst, bones shattered. Even their treasured Byakugan crumbled, fragment by fragment.
Yū's corpse, already lying cold, disintegrated into little more than minced meat.
And those were only the bystanders.
The one who had dared strike at Aya—the clan head himself, Hiashi—paid worse.
The palm he thrust at her exploded into blood and shreds, leaving only pale, skeletal bone.
If not for his instincts—
"Eight Trigrams: Rotation!"
He spun, chakra surging around him like a cyclone, shielding his body.
But it was useless.
The Mangekyō were not ordinary ninjutsu.
Whether Kamui, Amaterasu, or Tsukuyomi—Uchiha eye techniques were not bound by common rules. They attacked flesh, spirit, the very fabric of existence. No block, no counter—only endurance until the eye's power burned out.
Hiashi's luck?
The Mangekyō wasn't even Aya's own—it was a transcription seal left in her eyes by Uchiha Kai.
Three seconds.
That was all it took for the technique to consume its fuel.
And then the nightmare ended.
The grand hall lay in ruin.
The branch house—five lightly wounded, three heavily wounded.
The main house?
Six died instantly. Three left barely alive, half their flesh stripped away, bone gleaming through shredded muscle.
Their agony was worse than execution by a thousand cuts.
Even Hiashi himself was mangled. His right hand? Beyond repair. In this shinobi world—even with medical ninjutsu—regrowing flesh and bone was all but impossible.
Aya stood frozen.
Her eyes wide, lips parted.
She hadn't known.
She hadn't known Kai had placed this on her.
And as she struggled to comprehend the carnage—
Shouts erupted outside.
The Uchiha had arrived.
Under Kai's command, the Uchiha stormed the Hyuga compound, joined by the Aburame, the Inuzuka, and the Ino-Shika-Cho clans. Elite squads marched in formation, crushing resistance.
The Hyuga's guard forces didn't even try to stop them.
How could they?
This was far beyond their pay grade.
Only the clan head could answer for this.
Two minutes later.
Kai himself entered the hall.
He stepped forward, placing himself protectively before Aya.
His eyes swept the devastated chamber, a flicker of surprise flashing within them.
Yes—this was his doing.
The transcription seal. A technique he'd learned from none other than Madara Uchiha.
He'd placed it on Aya when breaking her curse, thinking it a novelty. A safeguard, nothing more.
He never imagined it would actually be used.
After all, the Hyuga weren't fools. Even at their worst, they'd hesitate before outright killing someone under Uchiha protection.
But the scene before him told another story.
The clan had truly tried to kill her.
Which meant… they were moving with someone else's backing.
The village elders?
His eyes narrowed, suspicion sharp as steel.
And right on cue—
They arrived.
Hiruzen Sarutobi, the two old advisors, Nara Shikaku, Yamanaka Inoichi—even Minato Namikaze.
Escorted by ANBU, they entered with cold, measured steps.
Hiruzen's eyes flickered across the hall, landing on Kai.
Not a moment's pause. He raised his voice.
"Kai… isn't this excessive?"
"I don't know what grudge lies between your clans, but we are all comrades of the same village. Such brutality—it goes too far."
He struck immediately, his words a spear aimed at Uchiha.
Yes.
He didn't care about the Hyuga's misery.
What mattered was opportunity.
Any chance to tarnish the Uchiha—Hiruzen would seize it.
Kai's brow twitched.
He gave Hiruzen a long, cold look—then smiled.
A smile with no warmth.
"Excessive? Fire Lord… you exaggerate."
"Anyone here can testify—we arrived at this. I'm just as surprised as you."
"If you doubt me, then investigate. We have corpses—let the Yamanaka probe their memories. Simple."
"As for what you're implying…"
"Yes, I did leave a transcription seal in my woman's eyes. A Mangekyō safeguard. But it only activates in the face of certain death."
"So I ask—"
"Who tried to kill my girlfriend?"
His voice dropped colder.
"And tell me, Hokage-sama… are your eyes failing with age? You rush to smear the Uchiha without even checking facts. Truly, it's impressive."
He stepped forward, tone mocking.
"Your judgment terrifies me. With such blatant bias, how can anyone trust in law? In justice?"
"My advice, Hokage-sama?"
"If your strength is no longer enough, then stop clinging to your seat. Step down. Let someone capable shoulder the burden. The Uchiha would be happy to serve the village."
He chuckled, though his words cut like knives.
"Forgive my bluntness. But reputation matters, doesn't it?"
"Ruin your own name over something like this, and the stench will follow you forever."
"So tell me, Hokage-sama—"
"Is that really worth it?"
