Under Bulma's control, a strange beam of light began to glow, slowly spilling outward.
The light wrapped around Baby, and a horrible scream tore from his throat.
Bulma's face twisted with madness. "Stand up, Lord Baby! Quickly!"
Even Goku's limp tail twitched under the effect of that strange light.
With a crazed roar, Baby's whole body erupted with an unnatural radiance.
"What… what's happening!?""My body… why is it overflowing with power!?""What the hell is going on!?"
The light faded, and Baby rose shakily, supporting himself with both hands.
His lips curled into a wild grin. "Yes… yes! Incredible!"
The golden great ape Baby bellowed, unleashing a terrifying wave of ki that shook the entire battlefield.
Trunks, only just recovered, flew toward them, but the sudden pressure nearly knocked him out of the air."What a monstrous ki…!""This is bad!"
Baby laughed manically.
Then a voice cut through his laughter:"Don't you think you're getting a little carried away?"
Baby turned—and there was Goku, sitting casually on a boulder, legs crossed, smirking at him.
"Took you long enough. I was getting bored over here."
Baby's massive form stomped closer. "So, you can still talk."
Goku hopped lightly down from the rock. "While you were out, I got to rest a bit too. Now I'm ready to really enjoy this fight." His expression hardened. "Otherwise, what's the point of becoming Super Saiyan Four?"
Baby snarled. "Is that so? Then I'll make sure you enjoy it—right up until you die!"
He threw a punch that shook the air itself, but Goku vanished with Instant Transmission.
"Damn… my strength's running out fast," Goku thought, wincing. "My arms and legs are screaming in pain, barely moving. At this rate… I might really die here."
Baby roared, firing a massive energy blast from his mouth. The shockwave made the very space tremble, hurling Goku hundreds of meters before he managed to steady himself. He landed and tried to look unfazed, but Baby's rage only deepened.
Each thunderous step Baby took shook the ground like an earthquake. "Why don't you attack, Goku? Weren't you in such a hurry to finish this?"
Goku sighed. "You bastard… or maybe it's just me… but his ki feels even stronger than before."
Baby lunged and smashed him straight into a boulder. Dust and stone exploded everywhere.
"What…?" Baby froze, narrowing his eyes. "This guy… could it be—"
He didn't finish. Another deadly energy ball erupted from his mouth, chasing Goku and blowing apart the surrounding rocks in a storm of fire and rubble.
Still suspicious, Baby kept firing volley after volley, the battlefield drowned in smoke and explosions.
When the haze finally cleared, Goku was lying on the ground, gasping, one eye barely open. He looked utterly spent.
"Ha! So it was all just an act," Baby sneered. "You've got nothing left!"
He swung a massive fist at Goku—who barely rolled aside. But the second strike crashed down, catching him square in the body.
Blood sprayed from Goku's mouth.
Baby's relentless fists pummeled him, each blow wringing cries of pain.
From the sidelines, Pan's face burned with fury. "Damn it… at this rate, Grandpa's going to be killed!" She tore free of Mr. Satan's grip and charged toward Baby.
Goku lay broken among the rocks, blood covering his face.
"I should finish you here and now," Baby growled. "Guess there's no miracle after all. You're done, Son Goku!"
He raised his fist for the killing blow—
"Stop right there!"
A small figure leapt in front of Goku.
Goku's eyes widened in horror. "Pan!!"
Pan spread her arms, standing between him and Baby. "I can't hold back anymore! This is the first time I've ever seen someone so vile!" Her voice shook with anger. "Revenge on the Saiyans or not—look at what you've done to everyone! To Earth itself! Change them back, right now!"
Baby threw his head back in laughter. "Well, well. Another little monkey survived after all."
But golden light suddenly flared from Pan's hands, lighting up the entire battlefield.
"I hate people like you the most—and I won't forgive you!"
Goku shouted desperately, "No, Pan! Run! Get out of here!"
But she unleashed a storm of energy blasts like rain, detonating against Baby's massive form.
Baby roared and swatted her away with a single devastating strike.

Watching from afar, Naruto clenched his fists. "Hang in there, Goku! Beat that bastard!""You're a Super Saiyan, aren't you!? Get up and show him who's boss!"
Rock Lee's eyes burned with fury. "Guy-sensei, that Baby is unforgivable!""Lee," Guy said gravely, "if your friends were ever in danger, you must charge into battle just like that girl Pan—to protect the ones you cherish!"
Fairy Tail's World
Natsu's flames raged hotter with every moment. "That Baby pisses me off so much! All those dirty tricks… I'd love to roast him with my Dragon Slayer magic!"
Lucy clasped her hands anxiously as she watched Pan. "Pan, please—run! Trust your grandpa, he'll win!"

Baby stalked toward Pan step by thunderous step.
Goku screamed hoarsely, "Baby! Touch Pan and see what happens! I'll put everything I have left into a Tenfold Kamehameha—and take you down with me!"
He thrust his hands into the familiar stance.
Baby only sneered. "Kamehameha? Don't make me laugh. You can't even stand without trembling!"
He ignored Goku, looming over Pan, raising his foot to crush her.
"Kame… ha… me… ha—!"
But before Goku could release it, a sudden white blast slammed into Baby, knocking him back several steps.
Goku's eyes darted around—Trunks stood nearby, lowering his smoking hand.
"You guys okay?" he called out.
Baby's eyes went wide. "Trunks!?""How are you even here!?"
Trunks rose into the air, pointing at him. "What, you thought I'd let you control me forever?"
"You fool!" Baby snarled. "As my loyal servant, you could have lived on as a proud Tuffle!"
"I'd rather die than be your puppet!" Trunks roared.
Golden energy exploded around him as he transformed into a Super Saiyan, his aura blazing like fire.
"Trunks, no!" Goku shouted desperately. "You can't beat him!"
But Trunks was already surging forward, golden light streaming off his body, charging straight at Baby with everything he had.
