"This little thing is an earpiece. It will allow you to hear us," Andrea said, pointing to a tiny skin-coloured dot on his palm. "I installed several security cameras in this room to ensure we can see you then entire time."
I nodded and slowly picked up the earpiece from his hand. He helped me with placing it in the shell of my ear, and I gave him a nervous smile. "Are you sure Vincenzo won't notice this?"
He let out a chuckle and shook his head. "I think he's too arrogant to suspect you."
I chuckled, but the sound came out strangled and awkward than I had intended. I looked around the bunker–the place where Vincenzo and I would soon be locked together, escaping the false contamination. There was nothing but concrete floor, walls, and two metal benches to sit on. I supposed most prisons were even more comfortable than this.
