In Shiga Prefecture, east of Kyoto Prefecture, Takanashi Rikka was initially quite interested when the Mysterious Person mentioned her surname.
After all, as the Mysterious Person said, Takanashi is such a niche surname that almost everyone with it shares a certain blood relation. Even tracing back to her grandfather's generation, there would certainly be a connection. It was just that by her parents' generation, for various reasons, they had scattered across different parts of Japan after growing up.
Of course, Rikka heard all of this from her sister when she was little.
Therefore, when she saw the Mysterious Person write in the diary that among those named Takanashi, there were also vampires and those who had reincarnated into another world as Holy Caretakers, her Evil Eye lit up.
She even started thinking about who among the Takanashis she knew might be a vampire, and who might have already reincarnated and gone to another world.
Of course, what made her even more excited was the belief that if she just kept reading the diary every day, she would eventually be able to truly unseal the Evil Eye of the Wicked Lord.
However, when she read further and the Mysterious Person mentioned that a Takanashi might die in a plane crash, she immediately became nervous.
Although she had chunibyō, she was still just a girl who had just started high school.
Having lost her mother in childhood and her father three years ago, Rikka already had a considerable shadow cast over her by the departure of her loved ones.
Therefore, after the Mysterious Person's reminder, she immediately ran out of her room and asked her sister, Tōka, who was watching TV, if their Takanashi family had such a relative who had been married three times.
Hearing her sister, who was usually deep in her chūnibyō, occasionally not be so chuuni but ask such a strange question, Tōka Takanashi felt a slight headache.
What do you mean, a Takanashi who married three times and has three daughters? Is that how you talk about your elders?
However, seeing her sister's serious expression, Tōka still carefully recalled the family situations of their relatives.
After thinking for a moment, Tōka found the person Rikka was likely referring to.
"You must be talking about Shingo, Uncle Shingo. He works in Tokyo, and indeed, for various reasons, he has married several times. Speaking of which, his eldest daughter seems to be two years younger than you, and should be in her second year of middle school now."
"When Father passed away, he brought his wife and his youngest daughter, who was born not long ago, to the funeral. He even considered having us live with him in Tokyo, but since his family already had several daughters, I eventually declined. But he really did take good care of us at that time... Why are you suddenly asking about this?"
Listening to her sister's explanation, a somewhat familiar face began to flash through Rikka's mind.
So it was that uncle?
Thinking that the other party seemed to have brought her many foreign candies when she was little, Rikka couldn't help but clench her small fists, feeling that she definitely couldn't let her uncle die in an accidental accident like this.
And when her sister asked why she was suddenly asking about this, Rikka immediately stammered that she had seen through her Evil Eye of the Wicked Lord that the other party's recent fortune was not good, so she wanted to remind him that he should avoid any transportation related to airplanes recently, and so on.
Listening to her sister, who was clearly lying, Tōka couldn't help but frown.
Her sister had been chunibyō for several years, and she could still distinguish between her sister's 'illness' and her lying.
So why was she lying to her?
Since a few days ago, she had felt that her sister had suddenly changed a lot after entering high school.
From a self-indulgent chunibyō, it had developed online, and she seemed to have met many new friends in class and online.
Could it be that Rikka encountered some scammer online?
Thinking this, Tōka's expression began to become serious.
However, looking at Rikka, who was still unconsciously twisting her fingers after lying, she thought for a moment and decided to go along with her words first, and then slowly observe what the person behind Rikka wanted to do.
"Speaking of which, after I started working, it has indeed been a year or two since I contacted Uncle Shingo and Aunt Shizuka. It is indeed time to ask about their recent situation."
Takanashi Shingo was their fourth uncle, and Aunt Shizuka was their eldest uncle's wife.
The former worked in foreign trade in Tokyo, while the latter was engaged in politics in Hokkaidō. When her father passed away, both had thought about having the two sisters live with them.
However, Shingo had three daughters, and her eldest uncle had also passed away unexpectedly ten years ago. Before his death, he had four daughters and one son with Aunt Shizuka, so their invitations were ultimately politely declined by Tōka.
With her sister's somewhat sudden reminder, Tōka also couldn't help but notice a fact—her father's generation clearly had four biological brothers, but now, except for the fourth uncle, all the others had passed away for various reasons.
Even the only surviving fourth uncle had experienced the death of his wife more than ten years ago.
Thinking of this, Tōka, who had originally thought Rikka was talking nonsense, couldn't help but fall silent.
And while her sister was deep in thought, Rikka, who had clumsily lied, returned to her room.
Then she naturally saw the discussion in the group.
Takanashi Rikka: "I've already asked the Holy Caretaker(Tōka), that Takanashi should be my fourth uncle. I've already told the Holy Caretaker in the name of the Evil Eye of the Wicked Lord to remind him. After that... will it prevent the tragedy?"
Because she often popped up in the group, and her chunibyō was quite strong, the girls in the group already knew that the Holy Caretaker she referred to was her sister.
However, the other girls didn't seem to think much of Rikka's approach.
After all, who would believe in something like the Evil Eye of the Wicked Lord?
But explaining what the Mysterious Person wrote in the diary was indeed troublesome.
While several girls in the group were still offering Rikka various suggestions, Shinomiya Kaguya, as the group's mastermind, stepped forward and said that she would help find that Takanashi in Tokyo and try her best to prevent this tragedy from happening.
Kaguya here did not mean to solely prevent the tragedy of that Takanashi family, but rather intended to use them to find the flight that would have the plane crash, and use this flight to gain more leverage for herself in the Shinomiya Group.
Until the end, the girls in the chat group each confirmed what everyone would be doing this weekend.
One group went to the autograph session, and another group went to Jerry to learn Ripple Breathing.
Of course, many were too far from Tokyo and Chiba to go to either side. Aside from discussing with Rikka how to explain what she saw in the diary, they could only cheer on the other girls in the group and wait for them to share information.
Kasumigaoka Utaha chatted with the girls who were coming to the gathering about how to find the Mysterious Person until late at night, so much so that she was in a hurry when she woke up the next day.
Even with the Ripple Breathing method to aid sleep, one still needed to maintain about four to five hours of sleep to ensure a full day of alertness.
Unless one could maintain the state of Ripple Breathing even while sleeping, then it would be possible to maintain two or three hours of sleep within a certain period of time.
However, it was clear that none of the girls who currently possessed the diary had reached that level yet.
Fortunately, Ripple Breathing had greatly improved her coordination and control over her body.
This at least saved her fifteen minutes of makeup time, and she ultimately arrived at the autograph session venue smoothly before the planned time.
She took out her phone, replied to her editor, and then greeted a few girls in the group.
Compared to her rush, Yukinoshita Yukino in the group seemed much more composed.
She woke up even earlier than her, sending a message around 7:30 AM that she would visit Ruri Gokō before 9:00 AM.
Utaha felt a little regretful about this.
After all, this "half-country" didn't come to the last gathering, and it was only later when everyone discussed the Service Club in the group that she finally revealed her true identity.
And this week, the other party chose to go to Ruri's place to challenge the Jerry instance.
It seemed she still wouldn't be able to see this Yukino, who was as famous as herself (but clearly a cut above), with her own eyes this time.
All she could do was @ the other party in the group, asking them to remember to take a photo and upload it to the group after they met, so she could see how the other party's demeanor truly was.
After that, she told the girls in the group who were coming to the autograph session where to meet, and then went to prepare for the autograph session with the staff on site.
Meanwhile, Yukino had arrived at the Gokō family's door in an orderly manner, according to the agreed-upon time.
The reason she didn't attend the gathering last week was partly because she wasn't sure of the intentions of some girls in the group and was worried about any traps in that gathering.
Another important reason was that she hadn't moved out of her house last week.
After seeing her original future in the diary, Yukino had already decided to make changes.
If she continued to live at home, even if others couldn't see the existence of the diary, her changes from practicing Ripple Breathing might still be noticed by her sister and mother.
Yukino, unwilling to lie, also didn't want to explain these supernatural things to her family.
So, after much effort, Yukino successfully persuaded her mother to move into an apartment not far from the school.
Her sudden strong stance at the time also made her mother, unusually, examine her with a scrutinizing gaze for a while, only agreeing after confirming that her attitude was not a joke.
And this week, Yukino, who was spending her first time away from home, told her mother that she would be meeting a friend over the weekend and wouldn't be coming home.
"Given my mother's attitude, she's probably already investigating what's been happening to me recently,"Yukino thought as she looked at the slightly old Gokō residence before her.
She wondered what she would think after investigating from here and finding out that the young daughter of the Shinomiya Group had met the eldest daughter of the Gokō family?
Just thinking of this, Yukino's mood couldn't help but feel a little down.
After all, the Yukinoshita family started in the construction industry and is now a prefectural councilor in Chiba Prefecture. If they wanted to go further, they would inevitably get involved with true politicians and large zaibatsu.
Compared to her father's gentleness, her mother was very strong.
However, Yukino quickly shook her head.
She came here to stick to her own ideas, and things from home could not affect her life choices.
With this thought, Yukino pressed the doorbell.
As Ruri Gokō, dressed in gothic lolita attire, opened the door, she politely bowed to the other party and introduced herself in person.
Looking at the somewhat aloof Yukino before her, Ruri had already met the more prominent Shinomiya Kaguya last week, but because Kaguya hadn't rested well, the first time they met, she saw Kaguya in her 'little Kaguya' state.
Even after Kaguya rested and returned to normal, everyone's impression of her had already undergone some subtle deviation, and they didn't fully see her as the daughter of a large conglomerate.
In comparison, the Yukino she met this time had a particularly unique air of a refined young lady.
But for some reason, even though their family backgrounds, appearances, and preferences were completely different, Ruri inexplicably felt that they might have many similarities when she looked at the other party.
She just wondered how long this aloof beauty could maintain her composure under Jerry's antics?
Ruri couldn't help but ponder.
In the past two days, although she had indeed learned a lot from Jerry, she was also quite worn out by Jerry's seemingly endless energy.
The only thing worth celebrating was that Jerry had some sense of propriety when her parents were still at home.
But as soon as her parents went to work, Jerry could turn the Gokō house into its playground, and all three sisters were simply playmates for it.
According to Jerry, it was constantly squeezed for research by its boss, almost making the rat sick, and now that it finally had a vacation, of course it had to play enough outside, otherwise the rat would be squeezed again when it went back.
Seeing Jerry describe its life with the Mysterious Person so miserably, what else could Ruri do but continue to play with Jerry?
Although Yukino had roughly understood Jerry's personality from Ruri's posts in the group over the past two days, she had prepared a lot of snacks and cakes this time, and she thought these things should be able to make Jerry teach her some things obediently.
Moreover, several other girls would be coming later, so even if that Jerry was still mischievous, it shouldn't be able to cause too much trouble, right?
With such thoughts, the ignorant young girl walked into the house.
Actually, Jerry's pranks and playfulness were basically not malicious.
It was just that a certain Renji Miyauchi, who understood the personalities of these girls very well, had carefully mentioned their personalities to Jerry before letting it out, and told Jerry to properly temper these naive girls at that time.
Clearly, even though Yukino had undergone significant changes from the original storyline, she was indeed still quite naive.
The first time she met Jerry, after a simple greeting, she had just taken out the snacks she had prepared when Jerry scanned her flat chest with a subtle gaze, then turned its head and compared it to Ruri Gokō.
It even turned its head to look at Gokō Hinata, who was still an elementary school student.
Then she was somewhat broken by Jerry's helpless shrug.
Because Jerry's expression at that time seemed to say: Are you really a girl? How can you not even compare to an elementary school student who hasn't developed yet?
Although Ruri wasn't very well-endowed in that area either, she was naturally a petite girl, and to be fair, she wasn't completely flat; one could still see some signs of development.
But Yukino's side...
In short, it was completely flat.
No wonder Renji Miyauchi had specifically used the nickname "Hirashita Hirano" when describing Yukino's personality and appearance at home.
So pitiful.
Feeling the pity in Jerry's eyes, Yukino gritted her teeth, getting her first taste of this little mouse's bad personality.
But she still endured it.
She was still in her developmental stage and didn't need to care about a mouse's opinion.
So, after adjusting her mindset, she handed the snacks she had prepared to Jerry and expressed her desire to learn some advanced Ripple Breathing cultivation methods from Jerry.
