Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: My Golden Finger Hasn't Arrived, So I Can Only Film Rural Videos

In the countryside of Saitama Prefecture, Renji Miyauchi, the one indirectly causing countless girls sleepless nights through his diary, felt nothing unusual in his heart. He was quietly waiting for the reward promised after completing his diary for the first time.

"I've lived in this world for sixteen years, and only now has my Golden Finger arrived. If it had come a few years later, I might have already achieved financial freedom and started slacking off," Renji muttered softly.

His previous life had been bitter. His parents divorced early, and he grew up uncared for. In middle school, he was practically invisible, and afterward, he worked a soul-crushing 996 job. With two hours of commuting every day, he had no life left for himself. Eventually, a terminal illness claimed him before he reached old age. Wanting to spend his final savings on travel, he set off to record his last journey—only to be hit by a car at the very start. And so, he transmigrated.

In this life, he was reborn as the son of the Miyauchi family from the healing anime Non Non Biyori, and the biological younger brother of Miyauchi Kazuho. Luckily, his presence as a boy didn't erase the existence of Miyauchi Renge. If that well-behaved, adorable little sister had been lost, Renji would never have forgiven himself.

At first, Renji thought he had landed in a single anime world—until he saw on TV that Ganan Shinomiya, chairman of the Shinomiya Group, appeared alongside Shiro Suzuki of the Suzuki Zaibatsu at a charity gala. That's when he realized he lived in a crossover Japan.

Even without lofty ambitions, Renji couldn't suppress the stirrings of excitement. The heroines he once admired from behind a screen truly existed here, and he alone carried knowledge of their hidden selves and futures.

But life in the Miyauchi household—with one lazy eldest sister, one not-so-bright second sister, and one mischievous younger sister eight years his junior—meant Renji was constantly supervising, tutoring, and raising children. Having never dated across two lifetimes, he felt as though he'd skipped youth and jumped straight into fatherhood.

Such an environment hardened him against temptation. Unlike the average boy his age, he wasn't going to fall instantly for every anime heroine he came across. He kept his pubescent impulses buried. "Love? I don't even have a small goal yet. What business do I have chasing romance?"

He refused to waste this second life chasing shallow desires. With his family here, he wanted to be an example, not a scumbag. His mission was clear: raise his little sister well, build something lasting, and only then consider romance.

So, still only a junior high student, Renji set about revitalizing Asahigaoka under the slogan: "Revitalizing the local economy is a duty we cannot shirk!"

Armed with memories from his past life, he grabbed a camera, gathered some idle village youths, and began producing rural videos. He filmed rustic inventions, survival challenges, even eccentric low-budget comedy skits. Then he subtitled and uploaded them in Japanese and English, reaching international audiences.

Within three years, Asahigaoka was on the map. Branded produce sold out, holiday tourism skyrocketed, foreign visitors trickled in, and officials from the Japan Agricultural Cooperatives (JA Group) came to study their model. Renji gained wealth that ordinary office workers could never touch in a lifetime. His prestige and global contacts grew. If he ever turned to politics, his network would be formidable.

But politics didn't interest him. His goals were simple: multiply his funds several times over during high school, maybe meet a good girl for marriage, and by graduation achieve financial freedom so he could settle down in Asahigaoka with his wife and raise a family.

Just as he was refining plans to recruit Eriri Spencer Sawamura and Shiina Mashiro for a manga business venture, the diary appeared before him—and overturned everything.

With a cheat, who needed elaborate business plans? Why not lie back and let the rewards come?

Yet Renji had read his share of diary-style novels in his past life. He knew the danger: whatever he wrote might be visible to others. If he let slip something like, "XXX, my wife is so cute," he'd be socially dead before he even began.

This world seemed normal, but in a crossover setting, anything could lurk beneath the surface. Already, the existence of Detective Conan's world meant shady organizations, unscientific combat power, and dangerous tech like APTX4869. Add in Kaito Kid, Akako Koizumi's witchcraft, and the Pandora Gem's rumored immortality—nothing could be dismissed.

And if Hoshino Ai truly was pregnant, she might give birth to reincarnated children. Then there were ominous names like Fuyuki City and Morioh Town—quiet now, but terrifying if they followed their destined tragedies.

On March 21, 2012—the day JoJo Part 6's protagonists met their end in his previous world—Renji sat in sunglasses, staring at the sun all day, terrified time itself might reset. Thankfully, the day passed without incident, and he breathed again.

Still, caution was necessary. "If I expose myself, I'll be kidnapped by yanderes or targeted by forces I can't fight. Not until I can protect myself," he resolved. His rebirth had blessed him with a sharper mind, the edge behind his early successes. He even considered writing himself into the diary as a background nobody, if it came to that.

"For now, let's see if Hoshino Ai reacts to what I write."

Unlike other heroines, it wasn't strange for a teenage boy to pay attention to an idol. He had even joined Ai's fan club under a burner account. If he showed up at her concert, no one would think twice.

Then, the prompt came:

[You have completed your diary for the first time and are eligible to draw a Newbie reward]

[Novice reward being drawn...]

[You have drawn: Pure Yang Body (Genshin Impact)]

[Reward has been distributed. Please continue the good habit of daily diary writing.]

Almost instantly, Renji felt searing heat course through him. His Golden Finger had arrived—and it was troublesome…
