- EMERALD'S POV -
Its quiet as I walk through the far side of town. The lack of light from the cloud filled night sky making the night feel almost eerie as i walk through the empty streets home. After what felt like an abnormally long walk I can see the lengthy winding laneway that branches off to the well worn path to my family's cabin. My twin sister is probably sleeping since I ended up having to stay late after tonights shift at the local pack pub to clean up after a fight broke out.
Just as I approach the Lengthy laneway my wolf hearing hears a branch snap in the bush to my left, my whole body goes tense as my wolf comes to the front of my mind while trying to zero in on where the noise came from. As i turn to continue walking after hearing nothing else in the tree's, two people grab me one covering my mouth stifling my scream, while the other holds me in place as a third person walks out of the tree's.
I look around and see that its Andrew Black and his minions. " Well well, what do we have here." Andrew says with a smirk. My wolf whines in my head knowing she cant come forward to help me get out of this, She has to stay hidden. I look around at the three boys. As my eyes flick back to Andrew, All I can see is his fist connecting with my nose. Pain explodes through my face, " I think he broke my nose " I whisper to my wolf before everything goes black.
I wake up laying on my back in the dirt and grass. all I can see are tree's above me. " where are we? " I ask my wolf confused. Before she has a chance to answer me everything rushes back to me and I jolt up into a sitting position. Before I can see them a foot connects with my ribs so hard I go flying back 5 feet and hit a tree trunk. As I lay crumpled up in the dirt I see the three boys start walking over to me.
"what could you possibly have to live for!? " Andrew snears at me. Andrews minions Ashton and Mason currently have me pinned down on the ground while Andrew is raining down continuous punches to my head. Each punch seems to be harder than the last one. " you should just do everyone a favour and dissapear! " Andrew snears while landing one last blow to my head. " no one wants a wolfless whore here! " Ashton and Mason shout as they get up to leave landing one good kick each to my ribs.
The three boys leave me there while laughing. As they walk away, I can hear their laughter echoing off the trees as they leave me in the woods bruised, bloody and drifting in and out of consciousness. I lay in the dirt looking up at the dark cloud filled sky as everything begins to fade away as the darkness takes over my body.
