Amethyst POV
The rest of the week flew by pretty quickly. I'm now sitting in my room trying to figure out what I'm going to wear. I want to look cute so it looks like I'm on a date but I don't want to look too good and give Rhett the wrong idea. I know I set my expectations and told him I won't do anything but to pretend to cheat but he's a guy and even though he's been dating Cat for over a year, he was known as a notorious player and I don't fully trust him.
'We can't trust any man' Summer pipes in. She's right we can't.
I decided on my favorite pair of jeans, grey booties and an off the shoulder sweater. I put my hair in a messy bun (my signature hairstyle) and wore some light makeup. I told my parents I was going to movies with a friend and then went straight to the theater. Rhett wanted to pick me up, said it was more convincing as a date but I didn't want my family to ask questions so I declined. I got to the theater about 20 minutes before the show and Rhett was outside waiting for me. As soon as I reached him, he wrapped an arm around my shoulder and a few people glanced our way. I was a little uncomfortable but Rhett leaned down and whispered in my ear to relax. After all this was the plan.
We got inside and because Rhett already bought the tickets we went straight to the concessions to get some drinks and popcorn. I tried to pull out my card to pay but Rhett beat me to it. "It's my treat babe, after all, I am a gentleman and I always pay for my dates." I just rolled my eyes and laughed. Then I leaned in whispering, "I'll Venmo you later for my half." He just shook his head and we went towards the assigned theater. As planned we sat in the back, while the theater was filling up Rhett had my body turned towards him, an arm around my back like he was trying to pull me close and his face was in my neck, he kept whispering jokes in my ear to make me giggle, I had my hand resting on his shoulder then decided to play along I would play with his hair at the base of his neck. He shuddered a few times then started nibbling on my ear. I told him he needed to stop because it was getting too close to crossing a line. He groaned and just as he did, the lights went out and the movie was about to start so we pulled away from one another. He reached for my hand and intertwined our fingers together then leaned over to tell me people were still watching so I just let him hold my hand throughout the movie.
When the movie was over he walked me to my car bent down making it look like we were going to kiss then whispered "Thanks for a great night. I'll text you for the next one." Kissed my cheek, then walked away once I got in my car. I immediately opened my Venmo and sent him my half so I wouldn't forget later, I really didn't want him to think this was an actual date. He immediately texted me.
Rhett: I told you I would pay.
Me: And I told you I would Venmo you my half.
Rhett: 🙄
Me: We aren't really dating so I won't let you pay for me. Better get used to it.
Rhett: Fine 🙄
When I got home, I washed my face then got ready for bed. I was reading one of my books when I got my evening text from Cliff.
Cliff: Hey Baby, Miss U! I hope UR school work is going well. I really wish U didn't have so much so we could've gone camping. I would've loved to hear U screaming my name all weekend. 😘
Me: Thanks. It's honestly not as bad as I thought but still a lot. Just think, it's only a couple weeks until Christmas break so you won't have to wait long. Any ways I'm exhausted, I'm going to sleep.
Cliff: Okay baby, sleep tight, dream some naughty dreams for me, bc U know I will 😜Love U
Me: You too! Good night
'Ugg Summer, how are we going to do this, I don't know if I can keep pretending and I definitely do not want to sleep with him ever again.'
'I know, I want to bite his balls off just thinking of him and Outlaw ever touching us again, just keep pretending with Rhett the next couple weeks, hopefully by the time Christmas break comes, Cliff will have heard about it and confront us so then we can show him exactly why we are doing this.'
'You're right. Times like this makes me happy he went a state away for school instead of staying local like his buddies.'
'Let's get some sleep, tomorrow we can take our sisters out for a girls day.'
