Chapter 1 - The New Beginning To The World

I woke up, i felt like someone who got hit by a truck, i look around and see no one. I was in the middle of the forest. no civilization seen. I rub my beautiful Teal-Blue eyes. Then I begin to look around me to see if there are people. As i walk, i start to feel a strange feeling, like something bad about to happen. I say in my mind. What is happening? Why am I here? I snap back to reality when a rustling sound is heard nearby. I quickly hide behind a bush just in time. Two hot female girls walk past, looking for mushrooms. One had Red hair and the other had blond hair. I watch closely, i think to myself. Who in the world are they?. The girls chat happily as they collect the mushrooms. I think how to introduce. Hey! my name is Nyra... no, its too direct. Hello there you two, my name is Ny-... nope, i look now like a pervert. you know what? fuck it. I decide to go with the first entrance I get in mind. I get up and step forward. I say with a smile on my face .

"Hey! My name is Nyra Los! May i ask who you two ladies may be?"

The girls jump slight because they didn't expect anyone around here. The girls turn around slowly, thinking that i was a bandit. I look at her and say in my mind. Is she stupid or just deaf? I say to her.

"Why you doing that? I'm not a bandit, in fact i don't even have a weapon..."

The two girls look at each other dumbfounded, in disbelief. Then they look at me, the red-haired says in a shy and full of disbelief voice.

"Wait. So you aren't here to harm us?" The blond-haired chimes in "Yea, so you aren't here to rob or hurt us?" This area was very high criminal rates.

I look at them I'm talking to two walls except humans, i say in my mind. Yea, they might be stupid or on something else. I sigh and put my hand in my black messy layered hair. I say. "Yea, I'm not a bandit. I just want to know where I am." I watch them carefully, my teal-blue eyes scanning every subtle movement, everything that may give they're thoughts away in they're expressions. The red-haired, glances at the blonde for reassurance, while the blonde fidgets with the strap of her basket, her eyes wide with curiosity and lingering caution. After a brief pause, the red-haired one speaks again, her voice slightly steadier, but still doubtful.

"Um... okay… I guess you're not a threat… My name's Lyra, and she is Roley" She is still doubtful a little, but starts to ease up.

I nod and think to myself. Hmm, so by the name i remember the names, but i can't get my finger on it.

"Hey, are you ok?"

My thoughts are interrupted by Roley asking me if i was ok. My eyes lock onto her Green eyes and say

"Yea, I am ok. There is no need to worry about me. But if you mind me asking... Could you help me get to civilization?" I ask embarrassed.

The Two girls look at each other before nodding. I sigh in relief and walk to them. As we walk away all three of us, a heavy silence falls over, embarrassment? I watch them. They have good form, and wear a Royal Academy looking uniform. As we walk and walk for about a hour we get to a small village. I am fascinated as i see people smiling, laughing, chatting, and sharing. Something you only see in Films. I look around and see a sign saying we are in 'Hunburm'. I look at them and ask.

"You two are students? In what? Royal Academy of the West or East?" I say, almost to myself.

Lyra and Roley exchange a glance again, this time with a hint of pride in their eyes. Lyra brushes a strand of her red hair behind her ear before answering.

"Royal Academy of the West, named Valtherion Academy" she says, voice steady now. "We're both in the same class. Why? Are you thinking of joining?"

I look at both of them. Damn it, and i thought they were normal students of a low class Academy. I force a smile and say, feeling like a nobody now.

Oh, Yea sure i guess. Maybe il join, but aren't i too weak for it?

Lyra tilts her head slightly, a small smirk tugging at the corner of her lips.

"Weak? You? Don't sell yourself short just yet. We don't really know you, but something tells me you're not as ordinary as you look." Roley fidgets with the strap of her basket again, her green eyes flicking between you and Lyra. "Yeah… I mean, you got here on your own, right? That forest isn't exactly friendly. Most people get lost or worse. So, you must have some… skill." She shrugs, trying to sound casual, but there's curiosity and maybe a hint of admiration in her tone.

I look at both of them and smile. Only i if it was true. My morale in myself was as low that it could be classified as a natural disaster. I don't know anything about this world, but il learn. I promise il be stronger next time. I pull out a photo of my family, it was crushed, but still good.

Lyra notices the photo in your hand, her smile fading into something softer, more contemplative. Her red hair brushes against her shoulder as she leans slightly forward, eyes narrowing in curiosity and concern. "That… is someone important to you, isn't it?" she asks gently, her voice quieter than before, almost hesitant.

Roley tilts her head, stepping closer, her green eyes reflecting both concern and a spark of empathy. "Looks like… family?" Her tone is careful, her fingers brush lightly against the strap of her basket in nervously.

I look at them both and sigh.

"Yea, my mother... The only one who ever cared in my life." I remember softly.

I think in my mind. I am a Member of a clan named Nightborne. A all powerfull clan that ruled the Universe. Yes, I was useless, they valuing strength above all, they saw no worth in me and i was discarded. But my mom... My mom stayed, but she got executed for that. I smile to myself, a tear falling down my cheek silently. I notice the girls still looking at me, their expressions a mix of empathy and cautious curiosity. I wipe the tear quickly with the back of my hand, forcing a small, reassuring smile.

"She…"my voice trembles "She meant everything to me," I say softly, my voice almost a whisper, more to myself than to them. "Even when I failed… even when everyone else… didn't care." I didn't go into details of it, but i swear..... Il make them regret, The anger that is within me can be sensed by them.

Lyra and Roley exchange a glance, the empathy in their eyes deepening, but there's an unspoken tension now. It's subtle, almost imperceptible, but I notice. They sense the edge beneath my calm facade, the quiet storm simmering just below the surface.

"Nyra…" Lyra begins cautiously, her voice soft, like she's trespassing on fragile grounds. "I… I'm really sorry. I didn't know… I can't imagine—" She stops herself, swallowing hard, sensing it.

Roley steps closer, her green eyes holding mine, a silent promise that she's listening, that she cares.

I look at these two strangers who cared more then my family ever did, and i barely meet them, I nod and say.

"The past is the past. We need to focus on the future that awaits us." I step forward towards the village.

The two girl look between them before willingly fallowing me. I lead Lyra and Roley through the village streets, the sounds of laughter and chatter filling the air like a melody I've never truly known. Everything feels alive, so different from the cold, ruthless world I remember leaving behind. I can't help but notice the subtle details, the cobblestone paths, the wooden signposts, the small market stalls brimming with fruits, breads, and trinkets. Civilization… it's breathtaking.

As days pass, i become associate with this life, i train my body, learning books, my favorite thing to do is read books. Lyra and Roley go and talk to the headmaster of they're Academy to try to enroll me. They succeeded to enroll me.
