Blue Silver Grass whipped throughout the arena. Dai Mubai roared, Ma Hongjun's phoenix screamed flames. For once, Shrek's little team seemed coordinated — until Tang San's figure rose high and a pitch‑black hammer materialized in his grip.
Gasps tore the air.
"Twin Martial Souls…!"
"It's the Clear Sky Hammer!!"
Even students who barely remembered theory lessons recognized the weight of the words. The Haotian School's impossible legacy was in their classmate's hands.
Tang San's teeth gnashed as he swung straight for Lucien's skull.
Lucien yawned, flicking his sword.
CLANG!
A wisp of black fire slid across steel. The Clear Sky Hammer rattled like struck iron — and Tang San was blasted mid‑air, vomiting blood, arms nearly snapping on impact.
Silence fell.
"…Hurt. Handsome for three seconds."
"Twin Martial Soul? More like twin beatings."
"Didn't even make him use a skill. Lu Yuan just stood there. One swing!"
"For the love of Heaven, why does anyone keep provoking him?!"
Tang San's secret, once meant to stun the continent, evaporated instantly under Lucien's drunk smirk.
Among the onlookers.
Tyrone's eyes bulged. That hammer… just like grandfather's mural in Strength Clan's study. Haotian… Clear Sky… Could it be… Tang Hao's bloodline?!
Sudden murmurs spread.
Zhao Wuji barged through, face congested. My one day of peace! Can't these brats stop poking Lucien's hornet nest?!
"Tyrone," he growled, "you want me to avenge them? When your grandfather was beaten bloody by Lucien, did I go help him?"
The boy paled.
Zhao Wuji sighed, glaring at Dai Mubai's sulking form. "Xiaobai, women aren't resources — stop clinging like a dog. It's annulled, let go."
He shooed the crowd. In his mind, one silent prayer: Lu Yuan… please, don't come back to Shrek. Spare us more misery.
Heaven Dou City — Prince's Mansion.
Qian Renxue's frost‑clear gaze lingered beyond the walls as her report finished.
"So. Tang San, born in Holy Soul Village. Father: Tang Hao, registered blacksmith."
Her grip tightened. "Tang Hao… so it really is you."
Memories festered — her father Qian Xunji supposedly killed by Tang Hao. Later she learned it was her teacher Bibi Dong's betrayal. But one truth remained: Tang Hao was at the center.
Now his son bore the twin inheritance: Blue Silver Grass and Clear Sky Hammer.
"And you, Tang Hao, vanished for over a decade. Hiding your cub. I'll unravel it all this time."
Her lips curved cold. "Interesting."
Tiandou Streets — that night.
"Tons… tons… ha… boring."
Lucien swayed alone, jug dangling, the street lamps pale against his black aura. Zhu Zhuqing and Chenxiang had gone back to the Academy dorms with Ning Rongrong. Even his kitten left his side, and wine tasted bitter without company.
Then—
BOOM!
A column of azure flame hammered the cobbles before him. Liu Erlong dropped down, jar in hand, cheeks flushed crimson, eyes spinning.
"Lu Yuan! Tonight my mother avenges— avenges herself!!"
Lucien blinked. Then his gaze locked happily on the jar in her grip. "Oh, Little Chili. You brought wine?"
"Wine?!" Liu Erlong's fist surged dragon‑flame. "No! I drank! Now I'll hang you up and beat you!"
She lunged, aura blazing—only for her drunken footing to slip. She fell against him, body crumpling into his arms.
Wind carried the mingled smell of flame and alcohol.
Liu Erlong's eyes glazed, focusing not on him but past him. Her arms looped tight around his neck.
"Xiaogang… it's you. Why did you stop loving me? Why always run…?"
Lucien froze, scratching his head. "…Eh? Did I?"
The wine between them steamed, old heartbreak flickering across Liu Erlong's haze, and Lucien could only stand, baffled, with a drunk dragon beauty sobbing into his chest calling him another man.
