Chapter 36 - Do You Dare Ride My Old Lady!?

The air trembled, saturated with fire.

"Rage of Flame and Thunder—!" Liu Erlong roared. Purple rings surged under her feet, flames wreathing her fists, crackling lightning coiling between her fingers. A massive fireball condensed, swelling past a meter diameter, distorting the air with its heat.

She thrust both palms—sending a miniature sun hurtling toward Lucien.

"Burn, boy!"

Lucien hiccupped twice, sword intent cloaking him instantly. "Surge. Sword Will. And two sips of wine!"

Gulp, gulp!

The Sword Qi he unleashed split into arcs, shooting like blades of black light into the surging fireball.

Boom—!

The explosion rattled the ground, trees buckling from shockwaves, rocks blown aside.

Smoke cleared—Lucien still stood.

Liu Erlong's chest heaved, rage burning hotter. This brat saw me naked. Unforgivable!

"Sixth ability—Blazing Dragon!"

Her fists struck, condensing into a spiraling dragon flame that ripped through the void like a comet. She lunged with it, the augmented speed astonishing.

But Lucien was already laughing. "Little Pepper, real fight? Then… Feng Chen Slash!"

Sword Qi cloaked him, his body itself becoming a streak of flame-dark blade spirit, impossible to lock. With a swipe, he snipped a strand of her blue hair.

Clang!

Their strikes collided—fire fist and abyssal sword—forcing both back a step.

Liu Erlong's eyes narrowed. In just a few exchanges, neither had the upper hand. Worse, the sword in his hand gave her an oppressive fear—her dragon flame Martial Soul instinctively suppressed.

Her fury deepened. How can this child's Sword Qi suppress my fire dragon?

"Hey, hey—Little Pepper. Don't keep fighting, it's a misunderstanding. I forgive you."

Lucien's eyes roamed leisurely over her proud figure.

"Forgive… me?"

Her teeth ground, chest rising furiously beneath flimsy clothes. This bastard peeks, fights, and then "forgives" me? He's less reasonable than any person alive!

Her breath exploded with qi.

"Chilong True Body!"

A massive flaming dragon burst forth, her Martial Soul's true form surging, blue fire dragon coiling in the sky, its jaws spewing green searing flame.

Lucien's sword crackled with black fire. "Dark Flame!"

His soul bone's fire erupted, smaller than before but steely, suppressing her dragon flames at their origin. Even Liu Erlong felt it—her dragon powers weakened.

Then Lucien struck. Meteor-like speed, afterimages trailing, he vaulted high—

Landing on the dragon's back.

Liu Erlong stiffened, shrieked, twisting wildly.

"Lucien, roll off my old lady!" Her fire dragon form spun in midair, tail lashing storms. "You dare ride my old lady?! Don't touch my dragon scales!"

The scene was so ridiculous even distant disciples gawked in silence.

Shrek Academy – Senior Class.

Since the merger and renaming, today was to be the first formal lecture.

"Today's instructor is a new teacher… a Food-type Soul Sage, Shao Xin."

"Level seventy-plus? Incredible…"

"Oh? Who are those newcomers? Look like kids still growing hair."

"Related households, obviously."

"…But the two new beauties are fine. Need to strike tonight."

"Look at that fatty though—can that really be a soul master?"

Ma Hongjun slammed the desk, breathing fire. "Who are you calling fa—"

Creak.

The classroom door opened. A shadow staggered in.

"Ha—so this is where you all were hiding for class?" Lucien's jug dripped, his long sword at his back. His dark eyes swept the room lazily. "Trying to make me search, huh? Believe it or not, I'll split you brats right now."

The senior class fell dead silent. This monster… in our classroom?

"Lucien!"

Zhu Zhuqing stood immediately, eyes lighting. The faint curve of her lips betrayed relief and warmth.

Lucien grinned wide, striding directly to her side—only to see Dai Mubai seated shamelessly beside her.

Without hesitation, Lucien grabbed him by the collar, lifting him like a ragdoll.

"Oi, bastard! Who said you could sit with my little kitten? Believe it or not, I'll blow you up on the spot!"

Zhu Zhuqing flushed gently, lips trembling—but she didn't deny it.

Dai Mubai's face contorted with grief. She's my fiancée! How did she become your 'kitten'?! But under Lucien's grip, he couldn't breathe, let alone protest.

Tang San and the others leapt up, horrified.

"This man really is Lucien!"

"His looks… his wine, his sword… it's him."

"Do these newbies actually want to fight Lucien?"

"They're dead!"

"Not even Tianshui and Kamikaze held out, and they want to?!"

The entire class buzzed with disbelief.

Even Tang San's fingers twitched nervously around Blue Silver Grass. Even all of us combined… can we withstand him a moment?

Lucien downed another gulp, still gripping Dai Mubai by the collar like a toy.

Then his eyes slid sideways—locking on Xiao Wu.

"Little beauty, we meet again. Last time, you glared at me. Remember?"

Xiao Wu's cheeks puffed angrily. "That's not glare! That's charm!"

"Charm, temptation—it was pink either way." Lucien smirked openly, wine jar stretching out. "Come, drink with me."

She flinched behind Tang San.

"Let him go!" Tang San's voice cut cold as his pupils flushed purple, murderous aura spiking.

Lucien yawned, bored. "Fine, fine. Take him back. I came for the kitten, not this bastard." He tossed Dai Mubai aside like nothing.

Mubai gasped with rage, wanting to charge back—

"Boss Dai, don't!" Ma Hongjun clawed him down desperately. "You'll die again!"

Humiliation blazing, Dai Mubai could only choke on his fury, forced to swallow it for now.

Lucien sat beside Zhu Zhuqing casually, one hand propping his chin, jug swinging in the other.

He was back.

And Shrek Academy… had no idea if this was salvation, or their greatest disaster.
