Michael Sterling sat at a table by the window. He was drinking black coffee.
Opposite him Arthur Milton was fighting a battle with a pair of chopsticks. He was trying to pick up a piece of Kimchi.
"It is slippery Boss," Arthur complained. "The cabbage does not want to be eaten. It is resisting arrest."
"Use a fork Arthur," Michael said without looking up from his tablet.
"No," Arthur insisted. "I am in Korea. I must respect the culture. Even if I starve."
Arthur finally managed to grab the spicy cabbage and shoved it into his mouth. He chewed happily.
"Delicious," Arthur said. "Spicy. It wakes up the soul."
Michael smiled. But his mind was not on breakfast. It was on the transfer market.
The window was still open. They had signed Enzo Silva the Pitbull. They had signed Jamie Vardy the Rat. They had signed Jan Visser the Giant.
But Michael wanted one more piece. A diamond.
He swiped the screen of his tablet.
"Arthur," Michael said. "Look at this."
