Chapter 2 - The Archivist of Forgotten Queens

Chapter 1-

Story Concept (Unique Angle)

Set in 14th-century Timbuktu, at the height of the Mali Empire's scholarly and cultural glory, the story follows Fatima al-Qadisiya, a brilliant but overlooked woman who secretly works as a scribe in the great libraries. While men are remembered as custodians of history, Fatima discovers hidden manuscripts that reveal the erased reigns and contributions of women rulers across Africa and beyond—queens, warriors, healers, and philosophers deliberately written out of official chronicles.

Haunted by the silence around women in the historical record, she begins creating her own "secret archive", writing in coded verses that can only be deciphered by those trained to look beneath the surface. Her mission is dangerous: if discovered, she could be accused of heresy and treason.

The tension rises when a foreign envoy arrives from Cairo seeking rare manuscripts. Fatima realizes her hidden archive could either vanish forever in the hands of outsiders—or spark a chain of rediscoveries centuries later.
