Chapter 6 - Chapter Six: The Battle of Devils and Sorcerers

The night air cracked with power.

On the rooftop of the abandoned church, Mira's eyes burned like coals, her seven cats prowling in nightmare form. Wanda hovered slightly off the ground, scarlet chaos magic swirling around her like a storm. Deadpool twirled his bloodstained katanas, humming the theme from The Good, The Bad and The Ugly.

Doctor Strange stood opposite them, golden mandalas shimmering on his hands, the wind tugging at his Cloak of Levitation. His eyes were cold and determined.

"You have no idea what you've unleashed," Strange said. "Stand down now, or I will make you."

Mira's grin was sharp and cruel. "Try."

The rooftop exploded into violence.

The Fight Begins

Mira's cats struck first, lunging as shadows and flame. Strange spun his wrists, golden glyphs expanding into shields that deflected claws and teeth. The impact cracked the rooftop concrete, scattering sparks.

Wanda hurled a bolt of chaos magic, the scarlet tendrils wrapping around Strange's shield and splintering it. Strange countered with the Winds of Watoomb, sending debris and the cats tumbling back.

Mira whispered in the dark tongue Mephisto had given her, and instantly the rooftop warped. Strange blinked as the world twisted—hundreds of versions of himself appeared around him, all dead, all bleeding, all whispering accusations.

For a heartbeat, the Sorcerer Supreme faltered.

And Deadpool charged.

"Tag, wizard!" he shouted, slamming a katana toward Strange's side. The Cloak of Levitation yanked Strange out of harm's way, but Deadpool followed, slashing wildly, joking even as blood sprayed. "C'mon, magic man! No shield spell for a katana to the kidneys? Amateurs!"

Strange's hands flashed, summoning crimson Bands of Cyttorak. Chains of energy wrapped Deadpool and hurled him into a bell tower with a sickening crunch.

"Ow!" Deadpool groaned from inside the rubble. "Ten out of ten chiropractic adjustment! I can feel bones I didn't know I had!"

Wanda pressed the attack, twin orbs of chaos magic hammering against Strange's wards. Mira's cats swarmed him again, their nightmare forms dragging at the edges of his perception. One appeared as a twisted version of the Ancient One, accusing eyes glaring. Another hissed in Strange's father's voice.

Strange gritted his teeth. "You're playing with forces you don't understand, girl!"

Mira stepped forward, her eyes glowing. "No. I finally understand them." She raised her hand, Fear spilling outward in a wave. For a moment, Strange saw his worst nightmare—Dormammu's endless victory, Earth burning, his friends enslaved.

It shook him.

That was all Mira needed. She lunged, claws of shadow forming at her fingertips—

And then the sky split.

The TVA Arrives

A doorway of golden light tore open above the church. The battlefield froze as armored figures stepped through, pruning batons in hand, collars glowing with temporal tech. Behind them, a middle-aged man in a brown TVA jacket sipped coffee from a paper cup.

"Yup," he said dryly, "this is the one. Nexus Event off the charts."

Doctor Strange blinked. "The TVA?"

Mira's cats hissed, bristling. Wanda's energy flared brighter. Deadpool, still half-buried in rubble, waved. "Hey, I know you guys! Time cops with glow sticks, right? Cool crossover."

The lead Hunter—helmeted, faceless—pointed at Mira. "Mira, daughter of the Devil King. You are under arrest for creating an unauthorized Nexus Event and branching timeline instability."

Mira narrowed her eyes. "Try."

The TVA agents raised their batons. Strange lowered his hands reluctantly. "She's dangerous, yes—but she's our problem, not yours."

"Incorrect," the TVA agent said flatly. "She is everybody's problem."

And then they charged.

Chaos on the Rooftop

The battle fractured instantly.

TVA soldiers swung pruning batons, each strike leaving trails of golden distortion. One grazed a Hunter corpse and the body disintegrated into glowing dust. Mira snarled, her cats lunging, claws tearing through armored suits. But the TVA tech wasn't ordinary metal—their armor absorbed part of the nightmare energy, dampening the effect.

Wanda countered, her chaos magic ripping through two agents at once, disassembling their weapons mid-strike. "I've seen prisons before," she hissed. "You will not take her."

Deadpool laughed, blocking a baton with both katanas. "Ohhh, I love this! Government time police versus murder cats and witches! Somebody better be filming this for Disney+." He stabbed an agent through the chest—only for the body to dissolve into time-energy, reforming seconds later.

"Cheating!" Deadpool shouted. "You respawn?! That's unfair!"

Strange created a golden barrier, holding back a wave of TVA fire. His face was grim. "Mira—stop resisting! You don't know what they are capable of."

Mira bared her teeth, her power spilling out in a wave of blood-red Fear. The TVA staggered, their visors flickering with distorted nightmares—visions of universes collapsing, timelines unraveling, their own erasure. Some faltered, clutching their heads.

But others pressed forward.

One agent snapped a collar device open, reaching for Mira's throat.

She caught his wrist and broke it in three places. Blood sprayed. She shoved her claws through his chest, ripping the collar free and crushing it underfoot.

"I don't wear leashes," Mira snarled.

The cats roared in unison, their nightmare forms swelling to monstrous proportions. Scarlet Witch unleashed a tidal wave of chaos energy. Deadpool—laughing madly—stabbed, shot, and danced in gore.

The TVA staggered but did not stop. Their portal still burned in the sky, reinforcements waiting.

Doctor Strange, shield cracking under the onslaught, realized the truth: this was spiraling out of control.

If Mira wasn't stopped—or claimed—there might not be a timeline left to save.
