Endurance waved his hand: "Get up, don't kneel anymore, kneeling isn't fashionable in this era."
"Thank you, boss." Moon Side's voice was full of fear. After standing up, he walked behind Endurance, head lowered, not saying a word.
But the fear in his eyes gradually calmed down, and his rapidly beating heart slowly stabilized. It was good to be alive; he just wanted to live. As for whom he follows... as long as he could live, nothing else mattered.
"Shall we begin?" Maku looked at the two confused humans.
"Sure, you pick first." Endurance said with a smile.
Maku nodded, one of his eyes turning a scarlet color, brighter than the old, dim yellow light of the operating room.
He looked around and picked the one on the left among the terrified humans, as that one's level was higher, and so was their tolerance for pain.
