Chapter 11 - Chapter 10: Successful Evacuation

The sword, when first created, was meant to be used as a stabbing weapon.

The wide and open attack style is more suited to broadswords or heavy swords.

Although Lv Bai, after obtaining the Eight-sided Han Sword, mostly slashed and hacked with it, that was more because it felt more natural to him. It didn't mean he didn't know how to use it more lethally.

As the sword flashed past.

The head of the fastest zombie was pierced through on the spot.

As Lv Bai withdrew his sword, he turned sideways and kicked out.

Under normal circumstances, doing so would not only avoid being hit by the momentum of the corpse but also serve to hinder the subsequent rush of zombies to some extent.

However, he underestimated his own strength and overestimated the toughness of the corpse.

Sincerely exerted, an ordinary person can deliver a force equivalent to two to three hundred pounds with one kick, let alone Lv Bai, whose physical fitness has been enhanced.

Thud!

The force of over a ton applied to the abdomen of this zombie, the resulting tearing sound was enough to make one's teeth ache.

A grotesque, bloody scene unfolded.

Amid the flying debris of flesh and bone, Lv Bai's kick directly pierced through the zombie's abdomen.

"!"

Ke Jianghao shivered violently.

This scene of extreme violence left him dumbstruck, unable to comprehend how such a slender body could unleash such exaggerated power.

Of course, Lv Bai didn't explain. He simply pulled his leg out from the zombie's stomach, picked up the corpse, and hurled it towards the oncoming horde.

"Roar!"

"Uwaah!"

Throwing a corpse into the zombie horde didn't cause much of a "splash."

The zombies continued to rush forward, eager to the point of trampling over the zombies in front of them.

Thanks to the narrow terrain of the corner, at most, they only had to face the attack of three to four zombies at a time.

Lv Bai's wrist turned, constantly wielding his sword.

In the blink of an eye, he had taken down nearly ten zombies.

His astounding killing efficiency left Ke Jianghao, standing to the side, with no chance to lend a hand.

However, there were thousands of zombies in the entire campus, and Lv Bai's speed at taking down zombies couldn't possibly keep up with the rate at which they gathered.

As time passed, more and more zombies gathered in front of them, the only consolation being that they didn't have to worry about zombies coming up from behind them for the time being.

Even so, Lv Bai began to feel strained.

If they continued to withstand the assault, a few zombie bites would become inevitable.

"We can't hold them off any longer, get ready to run."

Lv Bai spoke quickly, adding without turning his head, "You go first."

"Okay!"

Ke Jianghao didn't hesitate at all and turned to run towards the low wall.

After all, he hadn't really been of any help.

Listening to the commotion behind him, Lv Bai began counting silently.

Ten, nine...

Thud! Thud!

Each time the Eight-sided Han Sword was withdrawn, it brought out a trail of blood.

He felt he had done all he could, and if Ke didn't escape, he couldn't be blamed.

Two,

One!

As his ten-second count ended.

Lv Bai spun and leapt up, stamping heavily on a zombie's chest.

Bang!

With this reactive force, he shot backwards like a released arrow.

Seeing their imminent catch slip away, the zombies grew furious, all chasing madly.

So frenzied that some zombies dived headfirst and were trampled over by those following behind.

Lv Bai kept running relentlessly, soon spotting a low wall coming into view.

He showed no sign of slowing down to adjust, instead speeding up slightly.

Just as he was about to crash into the wall, Lv Bai leapt up.

When his upper body rose above the wall, he placed his hands on its surface, vaulting gracefully over it in a parkour-like Kong Vault.

Landing beyond the low wall, Lv Bai rolled to dissipate the impact, nearly bumping into Ke Jianghao who was bent over, catching his breath.

"Lü! Great, you're all safe."

Besides the two of them covering the rear, everyone else waited obediently by the corner of this side of the wall.

Seeing both had escaped safely, they were naturally overjoyed.

Lv Bai stood up and looked around. The situation outside the wall was pretty much as Ke Jianghao had described.

A road over ten meters wide, connecting to the mountainous area.

Because the road was recently completed, there was very little traffic.

How little?

No zombies were encountered even as the group scaled the wall one by one and stayed in place for so long, which was telling.

Listening to the continuous thumping coming from the low wall behind them, Lv Bai turned to Ke Jianghao and asked, "Where's the supermarket?"

"Across the road, then a few hundred meters along the riverbank."

Ke Jianghao replied while still gasping for breath, evidently shaken by the life-and-death ordeal, overwhelming for a high school student.

Lv Bai responded with a hum. Not finding a crosswalk nearby, he simply crossed the road directly.

The group was a bit bewildered but followed anyway.

Knowing what Lv Bai did before scaling the wall, Tian Wang couldn't help but ask, "Aren't you going to rest a bit?"

"Let's rest when we reach a safe place."

After all, they had attracted too many zombies, and even if this wall wouldn't collapse from the impacts, the zombies could still easily climb over it by piling up.

Indeed, Lv Bai had already seen zombie arms extending over the wall.

A smile crept onto his face involuntarily: "This wall can't stop zombies."

"This should block the zombies."

Ke Jianghao breathed a long sigh of relief after using a cash register to weigh down the bottom of the rolling door.

Perhaps as a reward for escaping a hellishly difficult map like the school, they didn't encounter a single zombie along the way.

It was so smooth that even Lv Bai found it hard to believe.

But it was ultimately a good thing, especially for the group who had been hungry for most of the day.

Upon reaching the supermarket, their eyes lit up as they dispersed to find food.

Nabbing things for free isn't ideal, but in such special circumstances, special measures had to be taken.

While waiting for instant noodles to cook, Tian Wang opened a bag of chocolate and tossed it into his mouth.

Chewing as he wondered aloud, "But why is there no one in this supermarket?"

The store, named Sisters Supermarket, was actually more of a convenience store, not very large.

Including the storage room, it was only about fifty or sixty square meters.

"I remember this supermarket was run by Hu Zihan's family, right?"

Wu Ya's tone sounded a bit disgruntled.

"Who?" Ke Jianghao turned to look at his sister.

Ke Jiangni, with a small bread still in her mouth, could only shake her head, indicating she didn't know.

Seeing this, Wu Ya became anxious, "Oh come on, Ke Jiangni, you've seen her. She's from the student council."

Ke Jiangni swallowed the bread before responding, "She often keeps air bangs, has short hair, and looks cute?"

"Yeah, but I don't like her."

"Yet she presents herself as really cute."

"..."

Lv Bai sat cross-legged where the cashier used to be, ignoring the little girls' chat.

His attention was fully focused on the data panel before his retina...
