The September wind swept across the wasteland, heralding the busy prelude.
Entering the golden autumn of October, the scorching sunlight withdrew its sharpness, transforming into a gentle golden veil, softly covering the heavy rice ears.
As humanity's main food source, the late rice sown in June smoothly reached harvest season before the cold winter arrived.
Despite the frequent disasters and strange celestial phenomena this New Era 35 year, the carefully guarded winter grain of humanity still grew without being affected.
Shadows of people crowded the field ridges, farmers rolled up their trousers and walked through the golden waves of rice, with sickles rising and falling, bundles of full rice stalks neatly stacked.
The harvesters roared by, rolling up layers of rice waves, plump grains poured down through the grain pipes, piling up small mountains in burlap sacks.
