On the way back, Yi Roujing saw Ding Xiaoding, the team leader, coming out of her house. Upon seeing Yi Roujing, Ding Xiaoding smiled.
"Ancheng's wife, I was just about to look for you," Ding Xiaoding said with a smile, covered in mud and straw fragments. It was clear he had come straight from the fields.
"Team leader, please come in and have a drink," Yi Roujing invited with a smile, and Ding Xiaoding nodded, following her inside.
When Ding Anmin saw him, he quickly made some brown sugar water and, while presenting it to Ding Xiaoding, complained, "I told you to have a drink and wait awhile, but you just wouldn't listen."
Ding Xiaoding chuckled at his words, "Thank you, Anmin. Oh, this water is really sweet."
After serving the water, Ding Anmin went to the kitchen to get busy, while Xia Xingchen was tending the fire, steaming rice.
"Team leader, you wanted to see me about something?" Yi Roujing asked.
