"Mom, what are you worried about? Look, your son-in-law didn't get married until he was twenty-three." Yi Roujing comforted, truly thinking that twenty-one is really young for a man.
"What nonsense." Liu Huilan gave Yi Roujing's arm a light slap and smiled apologetically at Ding Ancheng.
"Ancheng is quite the catch. Your third brother can't compare to him." Liu Huilan was well aware of this; her youngest son, hardworking as he was, didn't have a formal job, and the family's conditions were limited. Even though he was good-looking, he didn't seem to measure up when compared to Ding Ancheng.
"Mom, let me go check on Dad and Big Brother in the field." Ding Ancheng thought to himself he'd lend a hand.
"Hey, don't go, don't go." Liu Huilan stopped him, "They're planting rice seedlings today; it's backbreaking work. You're already tired just standing in class every day. They're used to it. Don't go help, just sit inside."
