Just as Caleb was lost in thought, someone suddenly tapped him on the shoulder.
Sitting behind him was a slightly thin middle-aged man wearing glasses; he craned his neck, leaning toward Caleb.
"It really is you, Dr. Lockwood. I work in the nephrology department of the Third People's Hospital. You performed my dad's surgery last time; do you remember?"
To be honest, Caleb didn't remember. If it was a patient standing before him, he might have some impression, but family members... he generally didn't pay much attention.
Without hearing Caleb's response, the nephrologist started chattering again, introducing himself and talking about his father's condition.
Around them were still several people sitting, and though Caleb found him quite noisy, he wouldn't leave immediately and make others uncomfortable in such a setting.
