Serena Sutton hadn't reacted yet when Caleb Lockwood pulled her to the back of the elevator, her back against the elevator wall, and he stood right beside her.
His hand was still gripping her wrist, the warm sensation rushing through, inexplicably making one's mouth dry and tongue-tied.
Serena didn't pull away, bit her lip, and shyly shifted her gaze. At that moment, the elevator reached the sixth floor, the doors opened, and a few more people got on. Instantly, the entire elevator was packed.
Her gaze fell on the two little boys who just got in, both wearing women's long loose T-shirt dresses, holding the sides of the skirt while walking, their gait somewhat peculiar.
Serena had been to the ward a few times, and this was the third time she'd seen such a scene, the imagery a bit... comical.
