Chapter 4 - Chapter 3: Abyssal Summoner

Just a few hours remain until the apocalypse, and Chen Feng has gone to great lengths to get to the arena, not to rescue the hellhound that had committed countless killings in his previous life, but to... offer it as a sacrifice to summon his first creature.

Summoner.

This is the power Chen Feng acquired in the apocalypse.

The energy storm descended, countless dimensions opened, and in that brief second, the world had undergone a tremendous transformation.

In the face of this new era, humanity, besides enduring roles like food and cannon fodder, has also been blessed by the heavens.

The special energy bestowed unprecedented abilities upon many.

Demon Swordsmen, Ice and Fire Mages, Beast Tamers, Dragon Blood Warriors, Giant Rock Warriors, and even some possessing self-healing and controlling zombie abilities.

And Chen Feng is one of these fortunate individuals.

At this moment, he stands in place, his originally fair skin suddenly turning crimson, especially his eyes, resembling bloodshot, scarlet like sickles, making the entire aura under his eyes utterly eerie.

Blood.

Blood is everywhere.

Now, Chen Feng seems to be immersed in a sea of blood, countless corpses soaking within, with bizarre multi-legged insects, green-faced ghostly creatures, half-human half-fish beings, and flaming giants.

Clearly, this is not a planet known to humanity.

Besides the sea of blood, Chen Feng's vision is filled with various environments, including lakes of corrosive acid, poisonous clouds, caves with razor-sharp spikes, and scorching magma.

These places are inhabited by many unprecedented species, yet each shares common traits of brutality and bloodthirst.

Where is this?

Chen Feng's body trembles, compared to the fear and unease of seeing these scenes for the first time in his past life, this time, a trace of madness and irritation flickers in his eyes.

Abyss.

This is the name of the land.

The infinite-dimensional Bottomless Abyss.

This is a place of endless, suffocating horror.

This is a place of extremely harsh environments and life-threatening danger.

This is a place devoid of morality and ethics, an unending slaughterhouse.

This is a place where friendship, family, and love do not exist, only betrayal, slaughter, and destruction.

Abyss.

The Demon's Home dedicated to death and destruction, yet also the greatest assurance for Chen Feng's survival in this apocalypse.

As an evolver, Chen Feng's ability is to commune with the Abyss, to use his power or special sacrifices to summon demons for his own use.

He is...

An Abyss Summoner.

Hellhound?

This creature, which instills endless fear, from the start, was merely a sacrifice for Chen Feng to summon abyssal demons.

The new era has begun, and now, he is about to use this energy-filled flesh and blood to summon his first companion.

"Compared to the previous life, where I, with no experience, summoned nothing but useless worms, this time, after sacrificing such a formidable hellhound, what kind of creature will appear?" Gazing ahead, an extremely crazed hue simmered in Chen Feng's eyes, and in the next second, he plunged both hands into the hellhound's brain.

By using such a powerful beast as a sacrifice, Chen Feng has already gained an advantage.

Next.

Comes the time for reaping.

The crimson in his eyes became even more intense, so much so that the surrounding environment changed as well, resembling fog-like gas that appeared, instantly shrouding the entire room.

Fury, malevolence, fear, ominousness.

Blood and flames.

Chen Feng caught a whiff of a long-missed scent.

Chen Feng clamped his jaws shut. At this point, he seemed to be enduring some unbearable pain, his skin slowly turning deathly pale, yet he remained unmoved and even grinned a strange smile, revealing his sharp white teeth.

Compared to the summoning creature about to appear, what does this pain amount to?

Just as the blood mist thickened to the peak, a twisted and eerie figure appeared in its midst.

Stench.

An unbearable stench.

A massive creature, no, to be exact, a nauseating mass of decaying flesh, it possessed the most hideous visage, its body a mass of bloated rotting flesh, with only its robust limbs left as organs, its face bearing only a pair of hateful eyes and a mouth capable of infinitely expanding to devour its prey.

Inferior Demon.

They are the true villains of the Abyss, filthy and vicious, mindless flesh, long-term chaotic environments have already transformed them into numb creatures that know nothing but fear and hatred.

Chen Feng straightened up, the joy on his face hard to suppress, compared to the worm he summoned the first time, the Inferior Demon obviously had much more formidable power. It's no exaggeration to say, not just bullets, but even regular shells hitting it wouldn't necessarily kill it on the spot.

Meat shield.

This is evidently a rare meat shield.

However, the Inferior Demon's state is somewhat aberrant, its deep-set eyes like those of a ghoul, staring intently at Chen Feng, its naturally hateful nature even directed a trace of murderous intent towards its master.

"Hm?"

Chen Feng's expression darkened, and a few daggers composed of spiritual power directly stabbed into the Inferior Demon.

Mental Attack.

Summoners are adept at using this method to teach a lesson to summoned creatures that do not obey their orders.

"oy...jh...lk..."

Some complex notes emitted from the Inferior Demon's mouth, though mindless, it could still feel the soul-crushing pain, clearly yielding.

Compared to the hellhound, which is an unstable factor, this summoned creature is what truly puts Chen Feng at ease, in some perilous environments, with merely a thought, he could control its life and death.

Chen Feng no longer focused on the Inferior Demon, he stood up and looked outside the door.

With the Inferior Demon, Chen Feng now had some means of self-defense, but he wasn't naive enough to think he could roam the city unchallenged. From what he remembers, the military will need seven days to quell the disaster in J City.

Seven days.

Many things will happen.

More than two-thirds of J City's population will lose their lives in these seven days, a bloody seven days, a terrifying seven days, and also a dangerous seven days.

Currently, having just awakened, Chen Feng is far from possessing the strength to single-handedly withstand countless monsters. Therefore, he needs to find a safe refuge...
