He pulled her into his embrace, his Adam's apple moving up and down.
"No one dares to curse you."
Su Ruan silently complained in her heart, there were so many people cursing her on the Star Network that she didn't dare to look anymore.
"As long as Ruan Ruan doesn't leave me, no one will dare bully you."
He lowered his head, staring straight at her.

Lu Shinian's fingertips lightly traced the contours of Su Ruan's face.

Soon, Wang Mo in uniform appeared on the light screen, saluting before reporting: "Commander, the person has been captured."
"Hmm." Lu Shinian responded casually, a flash of crimson crossing his dark pupils.
Half an hour later, in a certain basement.
Lu Shinian's figure appeared at the door, and the captured Jiang Lin looked at him with terror.
"Commander, I didn't want to help Su Ruan elope!"
Lu Shinian lowered his eyes, absentmindedly adjusting his leather gloves.
The black, icy leather gloves were much like him—cold, ruthless, powerful, and unshakeable.
He took a step forward, and the military boots hammered on the floor with heavy, rhythmic sounds, like some sort of death knell, pounding on Jiang Lin's heart.
Without Lu Shinian needing to do anything, Jiang Lin had already collapsed to the ground, pleading repeatedly.
"Commander, I was wrong, I was really wrong."
"I won't dare anymore, I won't dare next time."
"No, no, there won't be a next time."
He broke down in tears, terrified that Lu Shinian would end his life.
Lu Shinian clicked his tongue lightly and kicked Jiang Lin.
"Ruan Ruan intended to elope for a worthless trash like you?"
"Heh."
He let out a cold laugh, pressing his military boot onto Jiang Lin's chest, twisting slightly, and Jiang Lin was already in too much pain to make a sound.
"No, it's not because of me."
Desperate to survive, "She wanted to find her brother, she wanted to find her brother!"
Jiang Lin screamed, nowhere near his usual gentle demeanor.
"Brother?" A glint entered Lu Shinian's eyes.
He was aware of that matter with the Shen Family, where years ago, their biological daughter and a fake one got mistakenly swapped, raising someone else's child for eighteen years. After finally reclaiming his Ruan Ruan, they refused to drive the impostor away.
The Shen family's patriarch was rather foolish.
As for the Su Family...
Lu Shinian didn't know much.
