Chapter 27 - Chapter 27: Does He Take Her for a Ragpicker?

When Yu Tingwan woke up again, the sky was bright.

The thing Yu Tingwan disliked the most was rainy days. Damp and cold, it clung to her body, impossible to shake off, and easily led to colds.

She half-lowered her eyelids, her expression growing more and more indifferent.

She wondered when this harsh winter would finally end.

"Wan Niang, Wan Niang."

Someone called out from outside.

The old house didn't have a rainproof straw raincoat, and Yu Tingwan, scanning around, had no choice but to lower her head and run to open the door.

The distance wasn't long, but the downpour was relentless.

Upon seeing her, Hui Niang quickly handed the umbrella she was holding over Yu Tingwan's head.

"I brought you some vegetables."

Seeing Yu Tingwan frown, she chuckled.

"The farm vegetables are cheap. If you don't accept them, I might have to return you two coins. But I thought this weather is quite odd, colder than in previous years, and you surely can't be going up the mountain every day."
