However, after Cecilia Vaughn was released from prison, she insisted that she was recuperating and the doctor advised against emotional stress, hence her absence. Although Evan was disappointed, he accepted this explanation.
Evan had once been curious about Cecilia Vaughn's illness, but she merely smiled and said it was all in the past. He refrained from probing into his sister's sad affairs, given that Tyson Law had just broken off his engagement with her at the time.
